Its so bad they do this, this way every three months of log in rewards we miss about a month of much needed rewards to f2p players.
it’s not even about F2P but about good feeling to something to look forward to when loging in after daily reset.

Players who missed on previous login rewards would just start with new rewards aka they would get daily login reward anyway.
So bouth people who regulary login and who don’t would be bouth happy.

Seems a better option imo rather than missing out on a full month login streak because something irl came up/tech issues/ unpexpected maintenances during your only play hours on certain days.
You guys’ll live without freebies for a few days ~
If there’s a limited costume on the 25th day and someone missed a day because of something out of their control, that’s not the same as, don’t worry, you’ll just get the day 1 potion chest from the next month’s logins.

But there isn’t. All the items are standard consumables/mats/card pack etc. There isn’t anything rare or exclusive but just items to progress in certain areas.
they say very clearly in the game how long the event will go on. you can figure it out yourself that you won’t get any new login rewards until the end. its not that hard

The rewards very clearly scale up in value the further in the login period you go.
rare engraves > epics
any card packs > rare+
epic gifts > legendary
If you want to pretend like the day 1 reward is just as good as the boss rush tickets, the legendary rapport box or the ship materials then you shouldn’t be that upset over missing out on a few days of it after you’ve completed it all.

Login rewards are tacky and shouldn’t be in the game anyway IMO, but since they’re here - the period of downtime between one calendar and the next gives people that missed a few days time to catch up
Just starting them at the next month wouldn’t solve anything because they would still miss the high-value rewards from the end of the previous month
I honoestly prefered first half on month login rewards over last but maybe that’s just me since i like honing mats.
Also yes i am aware of date still giving bit extra of people who regulary log in and keep game active isn’t bad idea in my mind.
Having a bit on incentive for people to log in regulary seems like good idea to me that’s what kept me active and loging in gw2 for long time since login rewards gave me progress towards legendary weapons. And if people login for login rewards they are more likely to do other stuff in game and keep it active. That’s what at least i believe.

Other games that have this calendar reward system also include bonus items for those who claim all rewards with time to spare.
Imagine if you finished your month and got a 50k daily login reward, or an any card pack, etc. nothing too major but a lil somethin somethin
Not everyone is going to be able to log in everyday for the reward. That grace period allows them time to not be pressured by the game to log into the game in such a way.
Also our daily login rewards are far far superior to both KR/RU.

Yes but that free stuff is what keep people active. Especialy F2P. Tho you consider them freeloader they are what keep game acitve and populated. and more attractive to people who rather get extra money from overtime at work then doing chores in game. It’s simple marketing 101.
You can point why i am wrong but that’s what i am thinking.
