Login Rewards and Canadian ISP Outage

I’m not sure whether anybody has brought it up yet or not, but yesterday Canada experienced a Nationwide outage for anyone using the Rogers network. Unfortunately, that meant that a lot of people weren’t able to log in yesterday to progress their daily login rewards bonus.

I was wondering whether there’s any expected grace period for this month, or if we’re going to be out of luck for the day 20 rewards.

It obviously wasn’t something caused by Smilegate or Amazon Games, but with how wide the impact was, I hope there might be some potential leeway for those that missed yesterday’s login.

Thanks, and hope everyone’s having a good day!

Hello @Llaera,

I am sorry to hear of this outage and how many people may have been affected by it. Unfortunately, no grace period has been contemplated for this particular scenario but I can see your idea having more impact on future instances if it is placed in the Feedback section of the forums so I have moved the post.

Please bear in mind you can also submit your valuable feedback by filing a web ticket here.

Hope this helps and see you in Arkesia! :wolf:

I agree, this was a pretty huge outage in Canada that affected more than 10 million people around the country. To put it into perspective, we have a population of around 38 million…so about 26% of all Canadians had no internet. It was so serious that some people using Rogers (as their mobile service) were not even able to contact emergency services at all. There was always a buffer period in the previous rewards, and it has been poorly communicated that there were changes being made to time period of the login event.
