First i would suggest to you to watch the following video to learn about cc and superarmor.
Also i would suggest to you checking the following topic which contains information about tier 2 and tier 3 super armor which is most commonly used in pvp builds.

I would suggest check some class guides so you would know what to expect from different classes.

Regarding class… not sure… I was thinking of starting on something that isn’t too complicated… even if it isn’t as effective as the other class options - at least for starters.

My personal experience is with zerker , shadowhunter, sorc and glavier. I started as zerker main, but at the moment i am playing mostly my shadowhunter. Easy classes to start with from my experience are DB , Sorc, Artilerist, zerker. Also SH is not that hard but since you dont have T2 SA it requires more awareness in my opinion. I would recommend you to start with something which have good protection. But to be honest play something which is fun for you.

I wouldn’t start with sorc. You should learn about super armor and she has none

Thats true, but i find her easy to use because of her cc and mobility, but definitely DB, arti or zerk would be easier

One more thing which i believe is very important, learning to track enemy’s dodge and roll(stand up) is very important because you would know which enemy is more vulnerable at the moment. If you knock down an enemy and he uses his roll to stand up and then you cc him immediately after that you can do a massive combo on him , but if you start your massive combo before baiting the roll he will be able to get out of it unless you use t3 cc, so also learning when to use your roll and when to save it is also very important

Edit: also learning the camera advantage and positioning is important and using 21:9 ratio is mandatory for pvp or you would be in a big disadvantage, because if you dont use it other people will be able to see you before you see them.

she has one super armor (level 2 push immunity), on the ice cone shower thing. The other one is on rime arrow which no one will ever use.
