if they had always planned on VPNs being against the rules, the right thing would have been to make a press release early on stating as much.

TOS isn’t law, it’s never enforced 1:1, anywhere. If it was, you would be feeling a lot more pain in your online endeavors.
It’s entirely reasonable when you get fucked over from 1 day to another to be upset about it.
Most threads mentioning artist, always attracts people that either end up making racist remarks or turn to explicitly insulting people regardless of what nature the thread was created in.

My heart really goes out to those that were affected by the VPN ban. They knew what they were getting into when they chose to go that route (let’s be honest here, anyone that uses a VPN to game knew what they were going into), but it is a major loss for the community, especially for those that formed relationships with VPN users, or for those with overseas friends.
Hopefully either the bot situation gets better. Having this happen without any impact on the main issue sucks.

Had this dude literally having a full blown meltdown on someone not skipping cutscenes in abyss dungeon. When someone told him to chill he then began to blast that person as well.
I get it’s annoying to watch them but really calling people assholes or retards for not skipping seems a bit much?

I don’t know if that’s really the case, I’m sure a number of people had a legitimate right to be in the game, it’s simply that their ping was lackluster.
There’s likely to have been way more people in that situation than say people trying to access the game from countries or regions it isn’t being published in.
And clearly that last situation isn’t something this vpn ban was at all effective at curtailing, as none of the botters were even remotely inconvenienced.

people dying at argos p1 every time
after 5 hours of P1 argos matchmaking I had found 13 sorc’s with 470+endurance. never any other stat other than the good ones, but always endurance. I was both confused and saddened, especially when several also had grudge 1.
I always make my own groups for Argos/Abyss and If someone start chatting negativ stuff about someone else’s Gear I instantly kick them. Im coming from League and this is my game where I can finally relax without toxicity.

Whilst playing one of my alts trying to kill Nacrasena with a pug, i met a wonderful grown up beeing… He facetanked all abilities and ultimately the floor, didn’t use bombs (who would have guessed), also did not use healing pots and started blaming our supporter after he wasted all resurection tickets in 2 mins.
After i told him to maybe use a pot or dodge an ability of the boss, he began spamm ff the raid, called me and my family all kinds of stuff and finished with “you trash Asta scum”…
Reported him and told him to send each of us 100g for the carry.

Countless wipes on Tranquil Karkosa because someone doesnt understand simple concept of moving left.
Kalthertz slave owners that dont want to buy all slaves just specific ones.
People who dont speak English, dont know simple one step mechanic and want to raid with wipe mechanics. Literally there is no way to explain them that they are doing something wrong.
People who deliberately join raids on their alts with lowest possible item lvl with no engravings just to get carried.
Do i get annoyed? Ofcourse. Do i write something bad in chat? From time to time but nothing too extreme.
I joined a matchmade event guardian a few nights back
I was on my bard at ilevel 1336 (i know it makes no difference)
As soon as we landed i shot a flare
Then in party chat we got the message from 1 player “oh fuck we have a bard in the group…RIP”
We cleared the event in 3 minutes 36 seconds
I only got 3rd in mvp, but then i’ve never been first so who cares
Some folk are just permenantly angry in these games and dont know their arse from their elbow
Was just chilling doing Kaltherz when randomly some guy wrote to me that I am too slow (guess he was the guy who was able to click the slave before me) and that I should never come back here again. What a mofo I did not even care that I didn’t get the slave but he made me care. I can’t stand people like that
There are too many to count. Fortunately for every negative or toxic story i have one or two positive ones to counter balance them.
I think my best non horror/horror story was doing p3 argos my first time. My guild had already ran it so i found a group in party finder. Figured i would at least do P1 maybe P2 if i was lucky. They shot me their discord and after a wipe in p3 we cleared it. They were funny, informed, helpful and we all had a good time.
After that wonderful experience I purchased my weapon rerolled it twice for better quality and got a 90. Went and saved my tripods off my equipped weapon and saw i had an upgrade i could do. So i fugured it would try it before i saved my tripod setup. Upgrade success. Saved the tripod from my weapon went to transfer to my new weapon and realized that was the one i just destroyed over a tripod. RIP. Basically set myself back a week over my own stupidity
The most toxic content has been in T1 T2 abyss early in the game in matchmaking. People being horrible to each other for no reason.
Trying to clear albion in Oreha normal
We die one time. Next clear our fellow chadlancer takes my spot, i don’t find another safe zone in time, and die to the 4/6/8 mech. We wipe.
He flames us for dying. I point out that he stole my spot and thats hypocritical. He explains the mech again, as if that was the issue. I Say that it was not the issue at all but we move on to the fight
He refuses to play, stays in a corner flaming me. Saying that i’m roster 120 and dunno how to play, that im trash (while still afk, fight is still going on). His friend also flames our wipes now.
We quit raid, live moves on. We matchmake again.
They vote to quit right away.
We match again.
His friend tells random pally that they’ll make a party to avoid me cause i’m a troll
We quit the dungeon for the third time.
You see, i don’t have a problem with gunlancer being a dick, i might have been a tad bit rude too. What bothers me is that when they have a friend, that person will automatically pick their side no matter what. Why not just stay silent? Bias is a hell of a thing. I despise his shadowhunter friend more than him.

guy pissed off about peoples engravings in Aira’s Oculus on normal mode. 5 seconds after loading in, he starts calling us pieces of shit losers. crying ‘god get me the fuck out of here’. and spamming quit dungeon every single time the cooldown was up the entire dungeon run.
Just ran into 1400+ player who accidently qued into normal instead of hard. Of course they only “”"""""“realize”"""""" this mid-way through the final boss, to which point they start demanding we all stop, quit out and being a petulant child.
We tried to three man it, but unfortunately the rest of us were at level for it and one of the others, who seeemed to be a rather new player to lost ark, just kept dying. So sadly, the asshat won in the end.
Bright side is he got mass reported by all involved and considering how insulting he got towards the end, I’ll be chuckling when he rage quits because he got banned over a few hundred gold difference. Also, his engravings sucked so that was funny for me to.
We had a player who decided to rework Albion positions. 3 of us were standing on SE, SW and NE and he was running from E to N saying that the first phase is NESW and then we switch. We ignored him and proceeded to the boss and when the stars mechanic appeared he died on the first one and then started flaming other payers. The rest of us easily cleared the boss said normal stuff like “gg”, have a nice night" and left when the guy was still flaming us and telling us to read the proper guide so we will finally learn the mechanic
