Lost Ark freezes when moving zones

Running lost Ark on Windows 11 with the latest updates. I’ve verified the game files integrity and reinstalled EAC.

I have had no crashes moving around the same area using triports it only ever happens when I change areas (e.g. Punika to Feiton of to and from dungeon instances). It starts to load and the blue loading bar moves across the screen then Lost Ark freezes. I can still use the Windows key to bring up the Windows task manager but once its up I can’t use it to kill the client. This occurs with multiple characters on my account.

It’s getting very frustrating having to restart my PC and then reload Lost Ark (which takes ages even though I have a decent PC).

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hey there @elindar!

Sorry to know you’re having issues with the game freezing.

Important to consider here, you mentioned that you’re running the game on Windows 11, the recommended Operating system for the game is Windows 10 as detailed here.

Having said that, here’s some troubleshooting you can try:

If the issue persists, contact us via live chat so your case can be escalated looked into in detail.

I hope this helps, stay safe!

Started having the same issue yesterday, continuing today. Random, no pattern to it.
Win 10 Pro
Intel Core i7 @ 3.60GHz
16gb DDR4 3200
Rog Strix Z-390 Motherboard
Evga RTX2070 FTW3
3 different SSD @ 1tb

Never had an issue until yesterday.
I’ve re-installed, verified drivers, etc.
Verified integrity 3 times now.
It would appear something is going on with EAC or the game itself.
No errors or logs in windows. Nothing else locks up, just the game and I’m running multiple monitors.

Welcome to the Lost Ark forums @Psiotic!

If you’re having the same issue, the troubleshooting listed in the link from the comment above should help you solve this. Specifically, checking for Windows updates, graphics card and components drivers as well.

You mentioned the EAC thing but usually they come with the actual error message, still it would be good to try and fix it just in case: Troubleshooting EAC Issues - Support | Amazon Games.

If this persists, use the link to contact us via live chat so this can be further investigated, and determine what’s causing those random freezes.

Let me know how this goes. I’ll be around in case you need anything else, or if I find any workaround to fix it.

As stated in my OP, I’ve done all these things, plus a few things not listed or mentioned (cyber security specialist).

It’s noteworthy that prior to this issue I was getting the random EAC can’t reach the server, game will now close issue, but haven’t seen that since this started.
Firewall is open, router forwarded, etc.
There’s literally no trace of an issue with the OS or related system files.
It’s literally a solid lock. The game recognizes it and closes after a couple of minutes, which is another ‘sign’ it’s the game files.
My SSD’s are functioning normally, not getting hot.
I’ve re-installed on each, including a 4th Sata SSD, results are the same.

I do have a tendency to report the plethora of bots in the game, I’ll refrain from doing so and see if that’s somehow related. (I don’t block any of them, so it’s not a backlog or any sort of reference issue).

Hello @Psiotic,

I have posted some similar troubleshooting steps in your other post along with the recommendation to contact live support to have this investigated further if the issue persists so please go ahead and do that as the next step in this case.

I will close this thread to keep it all in a single one.

See you in Arkesia! :wolf:
