The average playing will not be able to access Argos in a week or two buddy. The average player is not even in Tier 2. The game is water downed and boring most people are just doing collections or quitting. The tier 1 and 2 content simply is not fun. Especially knowing it’s is just a hurdle to the real content as stated by the game Director. The only thing saving this game right now is the collection stuff is keeping most busy once that runs out or they run out of things to get that aren’t gated behind 30 day long quests; expect a drop in player base.
Honing rate needs to be buffed. Which they will I estimate within the next 2 weeks and the rest of the content that isn’t ilvl content needs to stop being drip fed. Unfortunately they have to wait until the 100 or so whales spend the 5-20 thousand getting to 1415 first. Already screenshots going around discords of people who have spent nearly that amount to get to 1400. Literally roster lvl 41 on one of them lmfao. Just give us the honing update and let us have fun on a video game and enjoy the more balanced boss fights.
And for anyone anyone defending not adding the honing buff remember Lost Ark is not a job. It’s supposed to be fun.
The ride is over at this point. After this patch, the game is seen as nothing but a predatory scam game promoted by gambling enablers (on twitch).

Literally because the players said so, yes. This is what Western beta players decided upon. But we also expected other things such as challenge abyss/guardian to be in the game so the grind wouldnt have felt as sluggish.

There are a lot of glaring similarities - things constantly missing from patch notes, poor communication, a complete lack of understanding what it comes to how serious a given issue is.
Many of the same issues that happened surrounding New World are happening all over again with Lost Ark and the common denominator is Amazon Game Studios.
Sure, but we also have to realize that not every decision is being made by AGS either, nor is the process of rolling out fixes, updates, etc solely on AGS in this scenario. I feel we need to give them some room to prove themselves. I am sure they are working diligently alongside Smilegate to provide a better gaming experience for us. Its not easy to understand how the content shouldve been presented for us initially at launch in terms of pacing, etc. Hopefully they just learn from all this and collect the data they need.

The real frightening thing is that the company seemed to have learned nothing from the new world launch. I wonder what game they have lined up to mess up with next because I feel awful for that playerbase.
They had an even easier job with Lost Ark and still screwed up.
You gotta remember that this is a korean mmo, and Koreans do online video games very differently. I wish this was a sub based game with no honing and just cosmetics in the shop.

So last night @Shadow_Fox talked about some depth that before they make any changes to the game that they discuss the trajectory of the game with SG. Apparently they all have some input on it and work closely together.
Apparently, from what @Shadow_Fox had said is that the general impression for Lost Ark was that it would have been nice to give them something to work for.
The road map after a severe backlash from the community got pushed back and is being revised. I presume they’re going to release more skins, introduce the missing content and the next few tiers.
And @Shadow_Fox in so many words hinting that Argos intended to milk the whales. Well, that we all have “levels” we play at.
However, they were surprised we were so upset about it and ended up having people quit.
I don’t think we’ll have any information for the next week or two and probably longer. They have stated it would be “WEEKS” for the Road Map.
We want to give the company money but not on progression. If you release us skins, we’ll spend money on skins.
