summary or like its called: “Tl:dr” (too long, didn’t read):
we really need actions to prevent players quitting and to fix the market totally out of control.
#1
make mechanics/raids easy/easier + let us choose which raids we wanna play for gold (even if a player is over level cap) → more casuals → more players → economy in control and more real money for you
#2
compensate the lack of players and lack of competition in the market by giving us more engraving books (+cap engraving prices and price jumping) and better rolls on jewelry + switch ALL! characterbound stuff to rosterbound + significantly lower Pheon prices or give us more Pheon → economy in control → more players stay or come back → more real money income for you

Dear Lost Ark – Team,
usually im not the crying boy about the base principles of a game.
But in this case, this is a game that i really love and i invested a ton of gaming hours (and also real money by the way, bought the founders pack) and i would love to continue to play.
And i hope so much that maybe my thoughts will be heard.
Dear Lost Ark – Team,
look at your game.
We lost a huge percentage of players (from 1,3 Million to intermittently under 200k if you can trust the Steam Charts, and if all the bots would be removed it would be even an insane amount less).
The mood ingame and in the discord chats is terrible. The last remaining players are about to quit too soon.
The game principles are definitely designed for a big number of players!
Are you interested in saving the game?
Are you interested in getting more money out of the game by having more players?
Well.
I discussed possible options with a huge amount of players and quitters all around the game and discord.

A game like Lost Ark cannot exist only by elite players. A game like Lost Ark needs a ton of casual players too. Players that can afford like „only“ 5-15 hours per week.
Players that login to have easy fun.
(These players by the way are also the ones that are candidates for buying the obvious stuff in the cash shop like aura and pheon – elite players can buy that stuff from gold anyway)
How do you want to keep the casual players if you give the WHOLE! endgame insanely hard raids with totally senseless exorbitant hard mechanics to master?
Only a small percentage of people have the time and mood to look and learn AND MASTER so many mechanics and in addition find enough other players who ALL mastered them too.
(You also need to consider that casuals are really trying to learn it but are simply not skilled enough).
In theory you need for 6 characters with 3 raids weekly 18 teams. For one team you need 7 other players. So in the worst case you need 126 players WEEKLY who ALL mastered these mechs to have chill games.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE!
Theres always at least one who drowns a run in fails and wastes your time and maybe even jails the whole group in a specific gate/portal/phase/…
Why? Why do the raids need this kind of torture?
Why should the whole group be punished for the mistake of a single one?!?!?
THIS IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WHY CASUAL PLAYERS TOTALLY RAGE QUIT THE GAME.
A raid can still be challenging and fun without this kind of crap.
I mean: look at the game lobby lists, like 25-50% of the games are WTS Bus/carry games.
Is this what you want for your game?
People don’t play it on their own but buy carries?
The poor get poorer and the rich get richer. Terrible!
And by this, your 6-character gold-earner limit gets totally abused and reversed. Think about it!
The carriers get full rewarded for all of their chars while the casual players even spend 50-75% of their gold. Or even have to save it for several weeks!! Thats pure disaster!!
That can never be your intention, is it?!
- Remove all group wipes
- Remove characterspecific insta-death mechanics
- Give the raid additional respawns/lifes like in Argos or even every player personal respawns/ lifes
- If you go in the raid overgeared… well… fine… we deserve it to feel overpowered when we ARE overpowered.
- Give the players the choice which raids they wanna play for gold (even if they are capped out by the level range). If a player does one week not have the mood or time to play 6 times Valtan or 6 times Vykas he should be able to for example skip Vykas and go back to Oreha. This would also be the only help if you go for 1415-1460 and you see that MINIMUM REQUIREMENT LEVEL GROUPS are WAY TO ANNOYING to have fun runs (or even successful runs) in Valtan and Vykas and so you could still earn some gold for further progression before you go back to the harder raids.
THIS SHOULD BE A VERY ESSENTIAL CORE TACTIC FOR PROGRESSION AND TO HAVE WAY BETTER PLAYERS AND LESS UNPREPARED PLAYERS IN ENDGAME RAIDS.
Another example: people do not dare to hone to 1475 because they dont feel ready for clown and do not want to cut themselves out of Argos gold reward so they stay 1470 and so they dont get overgeared enough to have Vykas chill runs. Its a vicious circle.

The market is totally out of control!
The prices for everything are just absurd.
As an example crystals (3000 gold!), legendary engravings are raising from 4.000 to almost 10.000 or 6000 to 12.000, so its getting doubled and tripled…
A one-digit amount of jewelry have the monopoly of the best drops and can be set the price to any number they want because there is no competition by a pool of good drops. It should not be possible that for WEEKS! there is only 4 pieces of one kind of jewelry in the whole market for the highly needed good combination of engraving rolls and the prices are like 100.000 gold. Holy cow!
you want the players to try new classes. How should we gear up multiple characters with 5x3 with these prices?
You need to COMPENSATE THE LACK OF PLAYERS to give the remaining players a chance to stay in progression and to MAYBE get some % of the players coming back when they see improvements.
- Change ALL characterbound stuff to ROSTERBOUND. ALL!
Jewelry, engraving stones, shards (roster shard counter instead of character shard counter), tickets, leapstones (even from dailies), honing-mats, honing-chance-enhancer, … ALL!
→ Alts get more worthy and people will buy more character slots → more money for you
Why on earth do you not allow me to give a self-found item to one of my alts? This makes zero sense. If i find a good jewelry or engraving stone that does not fit to my finder char but fits perfectly to another char i should 1000% be allowed to give it to him.
Most of the time its not a perfect drop anyway but an only “useful” one. So if i cannot give it to my alt im forced to sell it for peanuts while my other char buys the exact same items for overpriced pheon! thats just the peak of insanity and sadism! In the worst ironic case i would even buy my own self-found item in the market. triplefacepalm
- Increase the drop chances of legendary engraving books significantly
- Increase the roll chance for useful engravings (books and rolls on jewelry)
(dont tell me it is even. I found like 60 purple crap engravings of each kind and like 5 purple good damage engravings of each kind, so there something like a 10fold higher chance for crap!) - Bring back engraving book merchant(s) and keep them permanently
- Or maybe give us more possibilities to get legendary books in general and on regular basis like weekly or 1 per week in any event or something, whatever ways
- Cap the sell price of legendary engraving books or at least prohibit price jumps of more than 5%. Shouldnt be possible to jump from 4500 to 8000 just because there are no competitors
- maybe implement some reroll or roll-switch possibility for jewelry
(maybe for example if you drop 10 jewelry with 5 engraving X you can exchange this engraving to another piece of jewelry for a useless 5-roll) - Lower the Pheon-prices significantly, for T2 they are useless anyway and in T3 go for something like 5 pheon for legendary jewelry and 10 for relic jewelry
(It is so annoying that you need to pay pheon worth 7000 gold for an item that costs actually only 1k. - Or increase the Pheon-rewards significantly (should be also related to the amount of alts because they need to be geared up too)
Here are some other basic improvements that maybe find your interest:
- Fast-mode for chaos-dungeons (Option to speed up time with factor 1,5/2/or even 3)
- Make it impossible for low-level monsters in the open-world to interrupt you when youre a higher-level char
- Double the amount of weekly-counter for chaos dungeons with resting bonus so you can finish the weekly una
- Let us skip the standard sequences like „cheering“, songs, continent-shipping,…
- Let us skip the senseless conversations for una dailies
- Make the continent shipping accessible from anywhere and remove the senseless timer before shipping
- Make cards tradeable
- Increase the amount of gold from lucky-dungeons in chaos dungeons (~300 gold as reward for a 1490 luck dungeon even with resting bonus, are you serious?
- Give us more chance-enhancer mats. When you wanna go over 1460 with an alt you maybe have something like enough lucky-mats for 3-5 clicks in relation to >120 needed clicks (statistically). Thats totally senseless
Please help us remaining players so we can have fun again and we can be prepared for all the actual and new contents.
thanks for reading
