Love the game, but amazon support is a joke, flawed redeem systems

Below is the actual conversation i just had with amazon support after waiting an hour. I bought the new pack for the lion pet. You can not tell which is which. So i got the one thumbnail that looked closest to what i thought it was going to be, it wasnt. So im left with a pet style i didnt want, and no way to get my money back, and with a customer support that literally ends support chat with you. Am i being unreasonable here? @Roxx

I wanted the blue/white/black lion pet. i picked the one that i thought was that one. without a preview, i couldnt exactly tell. so i ended up with the wrong pet. is it possible to exchange the one i got at all? i meant to get that one, but again couldnt tell which i was getting from the thumbnail.

I’ve given up too. Quit trying to get any refunds or founder’s pack rewards. Obviously i’ll keep playing the game but man will I never spent another cent after barely getting any founder’s pack rewards etc.

It is crazy. With a free to play style they are adopting, pack purchases are a big money generator. Im happy to support the game over time, but this kind of stuff really steers me the other way. I have no way of telling exaclty what im about to select. Some of the thumbails are obviously a specific style/color, but pets are hard to determine for example. Why buy more packs in the future if i’ve so blatantly been told to screw off after they got my money? crazy.

Everything dealing with the cosmetics or cash shop is such a simple fix in so many other MMOs i have played. They simply take your account info, take or give what is needed by manually subtracting or adding. Hell even a game like Blade and Soul helped restore lost items or take away anything I did not want after requesting a refund. Simple as that.

I’m not shocked they can’t even do a thing about a miscolored pet by taking out your current and manually mailing you the actual color you want. Lmao. AGS in a nutshell. Too damn lazy to do a thing for the paying players.

This is what I see from the pack in question. Which pet did you pick?

I can clearly see the colors and get a good idea of them. First is black, second is red, third is blue, and fourth is white. Isn’t that correct?

Also they have little resistances tied to them if you select one. The first one is darkness (so I assume it’s black), the second is fire (so assume it’s red)… so on and so forth.

I was happy to support too and even battle through the queue times without complaint since I knew the launch would be harsh. I’ve played plenty of FFXIV and WoW to predict that. But I personally already have too many conflicts with the current state of content and its future. And even then, you get very little clarification on server status, character progress across your server and other char etc. The list just goes on and I’m done rambling at this point of flawed systems.

The bottom one to me looked to be the white one with the blue in the wings. Now that i know its not, i can tell it will likely be the one above that. The one right above (which is likely correct) looked black to me, in which the trailer showed one that was not black. My mistake? maybe, but i just couldnt tell and had i went the other way and been wrong, still wouldve been screw me i guess.

Did you register the pet yet?

Yea, unfortunately i was fairly confident in my decision. So i selected it and added it to my roster. You arent able to preview it, and its still only the same thumbnail once in your inventory. Ultimately, ill get over it. Its just a really poor purchasing system, and is literally not backed by their support at all. Amazon just ended the chat instead of even attempt to get me to the right teams. Just a bit sour is all.

Yes I agree it’s pretty dumb you cannot preview some of the items.

For example you cannot preview the skins either in the pack, so I have my skin sitting in my roster inventory while I go take a look at which class I want it on.

Ok… so… slight workaround for the future. You can go to the market and see if someone is selling the pet/item you want. The market has a magnifying glass which allows a preview. Then you can match the icons.

I have a founder’s pack sitting on a different server too lol.

i was about 5 seconds away from submitting charge back to my credit card company before they opened all the servers a short while ago, was able to get my friend on my original server so that worked out.
