Lower the Pity System to 3 hone fails

Didnt realize building goals to be able experience content is considered a “waste of time”.

What if the game is not letting me achieve that goal? I’ve been trying to get to T3 forever yet I’ve lost several days of progress due to honing failures.

The charm of this game, mainly in korea is that it is difficult, There is a fight with Brelzhaza or whatev is her name that takes 25 minutes and almost every mechanic is raid wipe, if you are “crying” about honing chance in T3, chances are you are not TARGETED AUDIENCE. There is no way that progress of T3 will be easier jsut because western guys complain

no, players who actually know what to expect and are commited to the game plan to fail 20-30 times before pity.

Did you just compare the RNG honing system to a skill-based fight? Do you not realize how comical that sounds?

Huh? You realize honing doesn’t require skill right? LOL

More than making the system easier or faster, what about making it feeling more rewarding:
If on average for a given honing you need to fail 10 times to succeed, why not making the cost 10 times higher but without failure?
Like this, the overall cost/farm needed for the honing would be globally the same, but you would feel rewarded for the hard farm, rather than feeling punished at each failed attempt.

Marathon? No this game is a slow crawl. They made this game slower pace than other regions while pushing content faster. The crawl is so slow right now no sane person would want to continue. This is coming from a person that plays 8+ hours a day hard grinding. I’m a hardcore grinder and have gone through many MMOs. I know what will kill a MMO. Hopefully Amazon is just whale baiting this week and will release the catchups next week, if not they’ll see another hard drop off of players. Come back to my comment in a week.

The only thing they shouldve done is buff T1-T2 honing and implement challenge abyss/guardian.
T3 should be left the way it is, especially if they buff T1-T2 honing, becase at that point 1340-1370 is the only grind youd have to experience early on.

This upgrade system has reminded me of Dauntless (which I really liked but stopped playing because of the Epic Store exclusivity).

It took a bit of work to gather the materials to upgrade your gear, but it always worked and I didn’t feel anything was wrong with the system. The only way you wouldn’t be able to upgrade your gear is if you can’t kill the boss.

This chance of failure feels like an artificial way to keep people on the treadmill, for a time when there’s not enough content to keep people engaged for more than an hour a week.

Isn’t the bigger problem, the lack of „real“ content“ in T3? I mean, not only T3, the whole game lacks content after you’re done with the leveling phase and you’re mostly done with the islands. You get locked into dailies etc. just to do the same things over again just to not be able to progress any faster. Oh but if you want to progress faster, just pay2p. And not only that. In my 200h I dropped one key for cube and two for boss rush. You can’t call that content haha. There should be a guaranteed key after 2x2 void dungeons, meaning the 5. will give you a key guaranteed. Then I would call it to the content this „game“ offers.

Most people only followed the hype, not informing more deeply. They saw the gameplay and it looked fun (which totally is!) but the whole endgame mechanics are just so dull and lack real content. The gameplay itself, the nice skills, movement, the bosses hook me in right now, but I don’t now about the future, because it seems like there is no better future in sight.

Lol, now I understand why you are deffending honning system everywhere in the forum. Assuming you are telling the truth, you are probably luckier than 99,99% of the playerbase. I actually never heard of anyone 1340+ that experienced pity upgrade only a single time as you said you did.

Im not defending the system. I think T1-T2 should just be 100%
T3 Should stay the same, until Valtan is released. Then buff 1340-1370 honing.
And they should have already put in challenge abyss/guardian for access to more materials.

It isn’t aggregious, It’s intentional. WoW babies are used to being spoon fed pity gear after all the pro raiders have had a chance to grind for a month or two. Not in LA. You’re going to play for fun, do your routine, FAIL ALOT, and every blue moon you’re going to get a surprise honing success. This is the game. Get on board or play something else. Because crying about honing fails in LA is like crying about having to dungeons to gear up for raiding in other mmo’s. It’s just how the game was made and it works just fine.

You have about as much chance that your honing works.

That achievment does not tells much. It counts all your characters fails.

Depends on what type of gambling you do lol. Blackjack for instance your odds are WAAAY higher xD. Just saiyan.

Also i wish i had yalls problem of t3 honing fails, yet i just cant get my t3 helm to drop for like 3-4 days now so im in t2-3 limbo :(. So much fun not being able to play my main.

That’s one character except for like 4-5 fails.
