Maintenance and Communication

As its a low budget game they also do not have budget for a communications department. They rely on interns… which might be asleep or studying at the moment.

Personally, I think it reflects the issues they have communicating with Smilegate.

Feel like they actually tried to improve communication, in the last few weeks.

We need to extend the scheduled maintenance for all regions. We expect the servers to be back around 12.30 AM PT / 7.30 PM CEST but we will let you know as soon as we have more information to share. Thank you for your patience.

What are they supposed to communicate since the last update?
We have a road map, and knew this update would come.
They have been updating ETA constantly (newest update was like 5min ago).

Yeah theres prob def an issue there but for example yesterday, the CMs definitely knew the tripod change wasnt in this patch last week. But this wasnt communicated to us and ppl were left guessing. Its like… why?? Lol

I couldve done some grocery shopping at least. if i knew the server wasnt gonna be on til now or later.

I totally get where you are coming from!

Just have difficulty understanding why people are upset about things that clearly weren’t included in the road map :sweat_smile:

I didnt see their update (which was an hour past when it should have been back)

Also… what update? From their wording we arent getting the update today

Also… class balance patch korea got over a month ago… pretty critical for artillerist and some Arcana to know when this is coming (most assumed before clown)

read this and then tell me again that we aren’t getting exactly what they announced we would get.

do they realise that for people in europe this update has taken almost a whole day of playtime?like with what they said the servers are gonna be up around 9:00 pm in my country
its like taking away a whole day of playtime

That is a lie. They told everything important we need to know.
People just can’t handle the “Oh, I can’t play LA for more than 4 hours, how I will survive this?”.

its not about surviving its the day of the reset ,a day that many people have scheduled to do raids and alot of weekly stuff because maybe its their day off from work…so when they take away that day it sucks

AGS has yet again put the blame on communication :smiley:
Shifting Maintenance from Thursday to Wednesday and still having the same problem.

Come on man AGS/SM you guys can do better

Will be no compensations at all since AGS has kindly taken their time and resource to let us experience Lost Ark so we always should be thankful no matter what

Also jokes aside, there are thousands of white knights defending AGS so they might as well feel “entitled” to not compensate for anything

Yea well, then do it a day later or next possible moment.
Also, keep in mind, AGS is the publisher, they are dependend on SG and bugfixing in IT, especially for a project like LA, is a complex mess.

You seem to have taken a very small part of what i’ve said out of context - I was clearly referring to not hearing anything after the maintenance had gone over by nearly an hour. AGS then gave an update about 20 minutes after. It’s not about ‘surviving playing for more than four hours’ - it’s about being able to plan around the servers coming back up.

Server reset is quite a packed day for those of us who want to get the weekly content done. If we have a good idea of how much longer the servers will be down for, then we can plan accordingly - do some boring IRL stuff and get it out of the way etc.

You need to imagine that people has their time to play and it isnt night in europe. They really screw this up.

Better saying nothing than making wrong promisses. If they don’t know by themselves, what should they say? They already said everything important, none of that was hard to understand.
If you can’t do your stuff, just move it. Problem solved. And again, if you move it to another date, you will survive, time flies.

I don’t know if people just don’t understand the difference between publisher and developer, or they don’t want to understand as they cannot directly communicate to SG how upset they are.
