Maintenance in 2 hours = 0:00 Europe time

my english is just bad maybe you understand something wrong or i wrote something wrong :open_mouth:

Don’t worry, my english is not the best either. This fucking awesome game deserves better. That is mainly what frustrates me the most. Let’s see what happen in the future. For now we can just complain and wait.

It would be nice to do maintenance not at weekends.

yeah i agree it, but i dont think orther publisher will do it much better. If we had 2 EU regions at the start it would be the best over all and more / better communication on Steam / Twitter, but for the rest of the problems its the job of Smilegate ^^

I hope you realize enablers like you is why amazon has the guts to keep doing the same things in regards to a complete disregard for player wellbeing that killed off new world xD

im not happy either with this mate, but WoW / FF14 has the same or more problems with Queues and Server while adding new Addons and they get way less hate than amazon :sa:

and Amazon is just the publisher of this game, content and orther stuff that comes in to the game is from Smilegate and we know whats comming. Amazon destroyed New World with copy paste mobs, disgusting endgame, doing it more disgusting with every patch, listen to much to the community, but piss on them on the orther side ^^ the server problems at the start didnt killed game its the content and orther stuff ingame ^^

This is actually not true. WoW has MUCH more people trying to play on release and their last few expansion releases were flawless.

Let’s not pretend this type of stuff is normal because of how NW was…

cant remember that WoW was flawless lul and i speak about FF14 too, Endwalker had so much problems as worker +f2p you had no chance to play / create a character for 3 weeks it was insane ^^

The last ā€œbadā€ release I remember was legion… Perhaps I missed something… I mean sure… there were queues but once you got into the game, it was at least working properly

Obviously amazon is just the publisher of the game… never said it wasn’t. But we don’t have ā€œgameā€ issues. We have server issues
While I do agree with some of what you said, the lack of(and afterwards-recycling of) content is not the reason why so many people quit New World in a record time at the start of the game. Personally, I REALLY enjoyed the start of new world, content and mechanic wise. I think queues are a large part of the reason for that caused the initial drop off.
And yea, they definitely just kept making it worse with each update… but are we not starting to see some of the same patterns here?

Some examples of things that get repeated:
NA has less population, yet more server at start(22 vs 19 on europe) and more regions(2 vs 1)… exactly how on new world, they only have eu central… and they know how bad of an issue that was then, yet it came back as if this would be their first MMO
Maintenances frequently happen at times that are inconvenient for alot of EU players. Not ALL of them, sure, but we’ve had prime time maintenances, daytime maintenances(aka the only time matchmaking actually works) and early night/late evening maintenances… just like on new world

So in reality, I don’t think it’s fair of you to defend the queues, when NA has it way better because they were prepared for it… If only they’d have learned from their mistakes and done EU West from the get-go, we wouldn’t have this much queueing, by a long shot, or the matchmaking problems, which are pretty much the only things that are bugging people right now, if we don’t count for the minor grievances of maintenances that don’t actually fixed anything(which is another parallel with new world lmao)

Service for this game is simply not acceptable in EU. Cancelled my Amazon Prime based on the experience last few days with this game. Not touching it again next 6 months. But hey - this is what free to play actually means in gaming. Take the money and run. Nope - Not for me.

I appreciate the fact that they have already moved the maintenance allotted time to a more forgiving time slot for us Europeans. Thank you ASG! Keep listening, keep doing this…and let’s hope restarting the servers will help…for a while at least.

None of this matters anymore. It’s frustrating but it literally doesn’t matter anymore. What matters is that there are people working 24/7 to fix the decisions of others, people who likely had no word to say in the process. The damage has been done. That’s what I imagine happened because I’ve experienced it myself in my daily work life. All we can do is encourage the devs at ASG to do their best and help us play every game mode that this game has to offer. And hope they can keep their sanity in the process.

12am is more forgiving than 9am? How so? I am pretty sure they are about the same in player count or even a bit higher for 12am. It would be another thing if the maintenance was from 2am onwards. But at least they are trying, hope they keep trying a bit harder.

If only I had a cent for every time I heard someone say this about ags in the past… I’d be a rich man
ā€œliterally doesn’t matter anymoreā€. Really mate?
If you repeatedly mess something up(big time) at work, will your boss say ā€œthe damage has been doneā€, or ā€œwhat’s in the past is in the pastā€? Will he encourage you to do better and move on?
No, that’s not how the world works. You get negative feedback according to what you do. Negative feedback is what drives forward change(look at final fantasy how they turned it around, or the miracle of no man’s sky)
This positivity, while noble, is naive, and unfounded. We as players need to voice our opinions in the hopes that they actively listen and learn from mistakes, which they showed they’re reluctant to. They did do a few things that are commendable even for new world, but they drowned in a sea of mistakes and instability.

So nice how I sat the whole day in queue, came into the game 30 minutes ago and now a maintenance is coming.

Come play EUW whilst you wait - you probably wont want to leave XD

Yeah right :joy::joy:

Pointing out chances for improvement is important but it’s also important to give credit where credit is due. If someone is improving, even if there are many more things to improve on, the improvements must be acknowledged. Otherwise people will, and have already imo, get stuck in a mindset where they just look for things to complain about, instead of looking to actual improvements.

Claiming positivity is naive, and unfounded is really not true. It’s actually harder to stay positive in the face of adversity than to just give in and join the complain train. You can just look at games like LoL. Games where everyone stay positive even when others mess up have a much higher chance of a comeback compared to games where the chat gets salty and considers the team doomed after the first mistake.
