Make it impossible to post level 1 and 2 gems

I don’t think anyone’s arguing this is a permanent solution, just a piece to alleviate the crush on the market servers, and it’s a relatively low impact on players that could be implemented quickly.

Fair enough.

Create new post: “Make it impossible to post level 1, level 2 and level 3 gems”

yeah lets stop allowing anything other then T3 items to be posted so it cost more pheons for everything!

If they even do anything it will probably be to make gems that drop from chaos dungeons untradable first, boss rush tickets are harder to acquire every week so those gems can still be tradable.

The issue is TOO much traffic of gem supply, we are not hating on the supply but too much too quickly affecting player experiences.

while the idea sounds wrong, what honestly else is there to do? There are 40,000 pages of T3 gems on NA-E right now with endless gems being added every second.

If you cannot kill the bot what otherr choice is there right now?

I have a better idea - let’s not pay a dime until they fix the problems with the bots and so on?

I think some people misunderstand OP, they’re not saying bots will stop selling gems, because of course they can just fuse them. Their point is that it would reduce the number of items on the AH and therefore reduce number of transactions.

Bots are buying level 1 gems because they can fuse them to level 7 and make 5k profit. That’s why there is so many transactions happening on the AH.

Yup.

You can literally sit here and spam refresh on Level 1 gem’s and buy them for as cheap as 1g-10g
Level 2 gems as cheap as 1-28 gold

If you are quick you can snipe them from the bots

Yeah I don’t think it’s a specific deterrent to the bots, but cutting 40,000 pages down to 10,000 or less would likely go a long way in at least letting the rest of us shop.

t1 accs cost 0 pheons and are far more scam resistant than gems

bots auto post matching gems in some regions so they’re not safe at all (they match bid+buy with the exact same gem, if bid is low enough they tap bid on the old gem)

this is why good bussers use t1 acc & good riders refuse to buy gems

No, I did, I just don’t use accessories and have no plans to.

What I find funny is this is causing a loop of stupidity on the most heinous levels

Bots putting up so many gems so fast that users can’t even look them up to buy them

In turn leading legit players to… use another script to be able to use the AH, causing further issues so people still can’t buy your botted gems

They’re shooting themselves in the foot and it’s just insanity

But I can’t look away

Like just program it to combine them you dumbshits

All I know is by sitting here watching Youtube and spamming refresh, I’ve made 1 level 7 and am working on my 2nd for super cheap.

Now you watch I get banned and the AGS letter is “Suspended for RMT of 1g gem”

But yeah the whole situation is comical.

i just buy level 3 gems to make lvl 7 cd gems on reaper and sell for 19-20k, make some profit while i also watch youtube or listen to a podcast or show etc.

That’s the normal way to go about it.

But when you can buy Lv2 Gems for 1 gold each the profit margin starts to go way up. It’s a slower process, but paying 3G/Lv3 vs 175-200g is a big bonus.

If this is allowed to continue the gem market will turn worthless

No, the solution to every problem isn’t to make it more annoying for regular people to play.

Good, everyone gets lvl 10 gems, improve the raid experience, next.

thats definitely not how thats works. Things tend to get more unreasonable for people who miss out on the market/exploit and it severely undermines legitimate progression. I also see the cheap gems as an issue however the response cannot be continued neutering of services legit players use.

people miss out on things all the time, mmos are persistent worlds, heck people born in the 1600s missed out too man and so did cavemen, we got some nice BBQ recipes now…and bidets.

That’s a good idea.

I still think that if they just lock servers and restrict new account creation with manual review it would still be the best solution for the short term, since they claim they are working on a long term solution.
