Hello, first of all, I’m super excited for the animal skins that are coming out soon but I have a question.
Can you have a male skin (for example the cool penguin) and wear that on a (female) Deathblade or will it become the female penguin?

The skins are class locked in Korea AFAIK so if you redeem a skin on one class you cannot use the skin on another class. You can however use the skin on subclasses of the class. If you redeem the skin on an assassin then all assassins can use the skin but not warriors. If you redeem the skin on a mage then all mages can use the skin but not gunners.
I’m not too sure if you can share between genders of the same class (male martial artist vs female martial artist) so if this part is important sorry

Honestly you are not alone in this question just saying. i got a lot of heat asking the same thing, and i have 550 hours 3 t 3’s and 50k gold completely free to play and was told to use my brain… but the thing is. i now main a female gunslinger… but by far my favorite animal skin is specifically the BOY cat with blue glasses and blue hat.
so i wondered the same thing. its just a CUSTUME, so to me its not dumb. of course it comes out today so we are going to find out one way or another but from what ive gathered people seem to think it will default to the same sex as the charecter that opens it unfortunately…
im a girl character all the time. woulda been nice to dress up as a boy animal for a change of pixels. after all, is a costume not to be something you are not?

This made me look at the picture again…are the top rows the male and the bottom rows the female? If so…I also want the male skin for my female char =/
yup thats exactly right… so fingers crossed people are wrong, and that we will be able to choose either genders, regardless of the gender of our character we plan to use it on

I actually am wondering the same thing myself.
I main a bard, so it is a mage, there for i assume all ( edit ) " female "mages will be able to equip that skin i pick.
But i can not transfer it to another class like my second alt who is male artillerist.
That is how i understood it at least.
It has to be the class you pick it for.
Also Zeals explained that some skins have some animation problems like for example a gun sticking outside of the skin when it does animations.
So we should probably look it up before opening the chests.
Like why are the men all wearing hats and the women not :< guess I’ll just be a cow lol
I don’t think that’s actually the case. From what I’ve seen in other versions, you get to choose which skin you get, and there’s many many options.
I don’t think there are actually gendered versions. I know I’ve seen the hat/sunglasses variants on female classes.

and in the end can i choose the male option for a female avatar? I did not want to open the chest because the female penguin is not cool at all: S
seems like you can only pick the same gendered items
anyone know if the moko ones are included like Zeals showed? I cant tell what’s what from the weird names? What’s Puppa? and I guess the others are the animals? I was hoping for the moko skin that goes with the board and pet I chose.
i was able to choose one of 5 clothes and one of 5 hats for the mouse disguise. Don’t seems gender locked.
