Male priest class?

Are there any words for a male healer class being introduced? Like the one in the story-line with shields and heals?

I always play healers in MMOs and am currently playing a Paladin because I don’t want to forced to be a female bard, but Paladin does not feel like a healer. I was told it is a support class but so far I see only one skill that is a combined shield and heal on a 30 sec cooldown. Are there any other heal skills for Paladins as I don’t feel my Paladin can do much support atm.

Paladin playstyle get more supportive the higher your skills go and you more go into one of the 2 playstyles . Damage or support, support build the way better one.
But here it comes, none of the classes ingame are full support class, not bard, not paladin or the new artist in korea. You are an essential part of parties because of your shields and heals but you still need to do dmg, but you can give clutch shields if your party member mess things up.
Furthermore, the game can’t create a full support class because of solo things to do ingame you can’t clear things if you only have heals and shields.

Male priest class seems fraught with negative social implications, but yeah why not. Perhaps call it a cleric.

Divine power spells of healing, damage and protection wielding a mace or scepter like the PoE class. Sounds cool.

Male priest classes are an ARPG classic. Nobody ever cared about any social implications…

I’m aware.

That was a joke. This forum is so tumescent

When the joke is not funny, it’s hard to tell that it’s a joke.

My apologies at your offense.

May your day get better sweetie

Thanks, same to you.

There’s no room for new gameplay features until the current massive technical issues are fixed.

Plus, Amazon has to contact Smilegate to do this, since they’re the devs and they’d have to also implement it on the other regions, not just here. The game will be the same for everyone, despite features being released in korea first.
It’s up to Smilegate, not Amazon.

I would see that as a positive

Smilegate has already stated that they’re increasing gender diversity and options in classes. They’ve already announced female berserker, for example.

Yeah I have heard about upcoming female classes. Haven’t heard anything about male classes, so so much about “gender diversity”. So a male Priest and Wizard would be appropriate as you currently have no option as a male mage in Lost Ark.

Smilegate will most likely work on getting the classes that are available and not in the game yet before planning any new classes. Also a male priest would be fine as long as it wasn’t too much of a ‘healer’ this isn’t that kind of game

Why not? A healer does not have to be just healing, see Priest class in WoW for example. Or are you saying that all classes have to be DPS classes?

That’s why I said “too much” of a healer, did you read what I wrote

Obviously I did but something as “too much of a healer” is quite vague. If you mean not too many healing skills then yeah I guess, as long as you have enough support skills to be able to fill the support role.

I apologise, we’re talking about a class that’s probably 1-2 years away and is basically a fever dream with no recognition from the developer. It’s gonna be pretty vague my dude, next time I’ll bring my concept art and body pillow prototype

Well the fact that it is not recognized by the developer is a travesty. There isn’t a single male mage class in the game which to me speaks volumes about the gender stereotype, that males can only be brawny DPS classes, that Smilegate is perpetuating.

Have you seen Armen?

A priest class would just be being useless 99% of the fight, then at your moment of glory, the priest deems himself important enough to make the killing blow and take all the credit for himself!

And who says that a male Priest class has to be exactly like Armen?

A male Priest would be basically a male version of the Bard, with maybe more focus on healing and shields.
