If caught purchasing gold from bots, just give players negative gold.
Less incentive to buy == less incentive for botters to sell gold.
Also for finding parties, set the title to just a few characters so bots can put their entire web link in it.

The same people cheating/using bots are ânormal playersâ.
And I think the reason they do it in the first place is because they feel the game isnât fair in the first place, so at the end of the day, they might be willing to risk taking the ban.
Because like you mentioned, it takes hundreds of hours to grind 1415+, a lot of people donât want to do that grind.
Theyâre waiting for the game to full-release so they can play legion raids etc, but they also need to be ready for that.
And too be honest Iâm not sure much has changed, youâre right, itâs unfair, botting and cheating shouldnât be allowed, people should be banned for it.
But before it was all about P2W and paying players having an advantage, now itâs all about bots.
People are unhappy for similar reasons in both cases, imo it still says more about the current state of the game itself, general feelings and views that people have for the game, I think itâs had a big contribution to botting and RMT on itâs own.
In a way itâs karma I suppose, the way progress in the game is structured and monetized has increased demand for alternative methods.
Not condoning it of course, but I think it helps to be realistic about these things, banning bots and cheated accounts would be the best solution, but I donât think this problem is going to go away.

O we know, it is a very visible issue for the players. There in lies why so many are upset/keep positing. If it is highly visible to players why is no action being done?
Why not do a PR ban fest of high level bots? Provide feedback of bots being banned after we take our time to report them? Why notâŚanything of substance as the current actions taken against bots/RMT just are not working at all.

Since you guys have a harsh stance against botters who are basically using 3rd party software, what about the thread that openly encourages and even linking to the website to download 3rd party dps meter?
Are you guys going to turn a blind eye on that or is it another selective enforcement of the TOS like the VPN ban?
Please please perma-banned them and list those offender every maintenance.

How is repeatedly farming a chaos dungeon cheating exactly?
How much more limit do you guys suggest? Limit the material from merchants, and limit gold from raids/dungeons, limit/close AH. Limit this, limit that, and in the endâŚwe get nothing but bots still have a full bag of mats.
You still do not understand something. Those (Iâm really sorry to say) fcng LIMITS affect only the legit players NOT THE BOTS!
We donât need more LIMITS. They need to wipe out BOTS!

If you guys get these nerfed for real players Iâm done with this game. Chaos dungeons are one of the few PVE elements Iâm not completely annoyed with.
Honestly if you wanna stop people from botting just go on those forums and say u got perma banned on main account xD

dude even azmongold has been far surpassed by whales and he had millions and millions of gold and mats funnelled to him. Most of the whales ive seen post around online are about 1460-1475. The botters/rmters are at 1490 now because gold is so cheap to buy from china
This is literally why its happening and this will continue to happen to every korean grindfest with horrible systems in place made to fuck real players over. In fact, it will only get worse now that so many players have been conditioned to cheat. Amazon has set the example that cheating is ok and easier than putting up with the horrible systems, and only suckers actually go through the hellish systems. The amount of posts on the botting sites has skyrocketed. They keep announcing these raids that are massively out of reach to real players, so more people get desperate to find a solution. This exact same shit happened in Ragnarok online. everyone on the forums and in game condemned botting vocally, but they themselves had bots running. It turned out all of the top guilds were running bots at one point.
Disable character creation for a few days, ban every bot on every server, merge servers up to 90-95% capacity. Every berserker with a white bunny must be exterminated.
EDIT:So after some research I now understand whatâs going on (I barely use the forum) Ppl is basically using ââundetectable botsââ on their main account to farm chaos dungeons 24-7 to push their ilvl and sell stuff on the market so changing the items to only roster bound would keep those items out of the market but it would not stop them from using those mats to push their ilvl. I have 0 idea about scripts,bots and shit but it seems like they have to come up with an idea to differentiate legit ppl grinding infinite chaos dungeons from bots (although Iâm pretty sure anyone running 8h+ chaos dungeon several days a week is botting)

If you played every day since release it isnât hard to get to 1415
This is something that Iâve seen personally. Some of my friends were so devastated by this that they were considering using these tools themselves⌠just because it felt like their time wasnât valued and that the game was going downhill.
Of course they changed their mind and are not going to, but I donât think this is a uncommon feeling in the community.
This is something important to address before even releasing Valtan. Roxx I know that these forums can be a cesspool and thereâs a lot of people who donât know how to act civil, but I hope you understand that thatâs only one side of the coin.
I appreciate all of the work you guys do at AGS!
