Its funny how every good thing is supposed to be Smilegates fault, but every negative thing is AGS. CMs are messagers not developers. “Phoengate” and whatever is also mostly SG fault, not AGS (their communication is too though)

Which are the bad things that happened? Some ppl getting better gear, skills, etc a bit faster? How is that going to affect you? Spending some peons you otherwise wouldn’t? You’ll get it back with the next event or two. Of course it’s not fair but I really don’t see a big problem.

not only did they take back the pheons, in some instances, they took back MORE pheons than were claimed.
i claimed 130 pheons, from the 13 T3 characters i have. i logged off on the night before the update with almost 300 pheons. i hadn’t spent any because i was wary.

i logged on after the update with 112 pheons. over 170 were removed from my roster. 40 more than i claimed. even with the “compensation” of 30, i’m still 10 less pheons than before the mail was sent out.

they’re not just scam artists, they’re thieves.

they ONLY bring up that the pheons were on the mail, and that they were attached in error. they fail to mention that they card pack and battle chest were also added.

this makes them even more untrustworthy, skirting details to suit their position. clearly it was intentional before they got a bad case of seller’s regret and swiped it all back from us and labeled us exploiters for what they did.

The server maintenance issues and the disconnect problems are an indication that the development team either isn’t testing the code their deploying or they aren’t testing enough. Some people have very limited time to play games. When the servers are always in maintenance, it further reduces the time some people actually get to log in and play. It is a big deal to those who think their time is better spent playing games that are more stable and have better development teams.

Why are you even trust AGS/SG in the first place? they’ve been exploited and treated the player base like crap from the beginning, withholding the honing buff, drip-feed skin, and class release. It doesn’t matter, you will forget it in a few weeks anyway

Just sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s a good comedy show at this point.
I’m also very curious to see if they’ll ever manage to one-up themselves after this one

In the long run, it’s a shame, because the game is fun, and not bad to play at all, and almost every aspect that makes it bad is either greed or some way they claim is to help them combat bots.

but I mean, pissing off your customer base just before the release of your major competitor’s major expansion doesn’t really seem like a smart move for a company trying to make money. Maybe there hoping everyone will goto New World? I can’t even really fathom the thought process that went into this, definitely not big brain thinking here.

AGS is the publisher for this game and manages the communication to the players. They are the face of Lost Ark in the West and thus assumes much of the risk. If Lost Ark is a success, they can use that for their advantage. If it’s a failure, then of course it’s going to kick back to them.

And honestly AGS has a terrible reputation. The release of Lost Ark came after the disaster of New World. People still remember how AGS burned their OWN game to the ground. We are seeing the same mistakes here as they did to their own game. So yes people are putting 1+1 together.

And yes SG makes decisions, but you really think AGS has no say so in this relationship? This version of the game is different from the KR version. Look at the Yoz decision; that release was cancelled because of feedback from the community that AGS provided to SG. I am not saying SG is blameless either, I just don’t think you can let AGS off the hook just because SG is there too.

People are bashing AGS and forgiving SG at every corner so his reply is completely justified
