Minimum bid in group content

Can we please lower the minimum bid on engraving books in group content? We’re at a point where every single epic engraving book is below the 50g minimum bid and as a result, are just wasted and go to no one.

I’ve noticed this, especially on blue drops you can have the whole loot spread be annihilated because no one’s going to throw 50 gold at that.

In my opinion, if there is no bids, it should be rolled by default to the team members without any price.

I like that system more, but changing minimum bid is likely a single line change, so it’d be a nice interim step.

“the team member without any price”
what does that even mean?

if you mean “just give it to a random player when no bids”, i dont think thats a good system as it just screws all but one player.
lowering the min-bid for everything that is epic or lower would be the best way imo.

You’ve got a point there. Minimum bid equal to number of players involved would seem the logical option… but thats gonna very.

Agreed, + 1.

The entire end raid loot system to me makes no sense, especially after chaos gates.

30 players, bidding for a map which naturally starts of slowly in increments of 50-100 gold, but the inclusion of a box that allows a single player to type a manual number and roll it instantly over 1k, 2k, 3k, almost with the intention of trolling the next unlucky player spam clicking bid, just confuses me.

I may have missed something as I barely bid on these maps anyway, but certainly feels open to abuse at face value.

How it does screw other players?

Mostly the engravings that are rolled (be it rare or epic) are 1 gold in the trading post while the minimun bid in the rolls are 50 gold.

Bidding for minimun of 1 gold does not work because you need to divide the income between rest of the players and bidding higher than 1 gold for items that are 1 gold at trading poist is either just plain giving gold away or stupid.

It’s a gold sink. Besides, those books will go back up when the economy grows and they’re not being given out as much as they are because the game is new.

TBH I would rather see it go to anyone rather than disappearing into the ether.

If they’re worth less than 50g, is it really that much of an issue if it goes into the ether? The system is fine, and it’ll make more sense as a bit of time passes. Perhaps as early as when we get Valtan.

I mean… don’t spam click. There’s a delay after a bid is made where you can’t bid, so unless you’re spam clicking you don’t have to worry.

Bidding up things hoping to make more gold is not abuse.

I don’t think lowering it to 1G is going to help.
cause once you do that it’ll just be a speed war. whoever bids first gets it and if you’re unlucky enough to bid just after you’re screwed for now having payed double (if not more) of its market value.

so i would rather see it stay at 50 and as mentioned above.

this would be a better fix. if no one bids just let it be randomly distributed.

but that’s unfair!

how is it unfair? it’s random… and it only happens if no one has bid for it.

I hear you, but changing the minimum bid would only result in it being a race to who can click the button first (most books sell for 1g). The real problem is that gold is worth so much. The devs need to put a lot more sources of gold into the game and the whales need to stop spending on outrageous conversion rates (something that will happen naturally when the devs put more gold in the game)

Best of both worlds, allowing bidding (everyone gets some gold as per usual). But if nobody bids it goes to a random player rather than into the void.
