As Ceilin says, it doesn’t make sense. Yes the ones you have now will remain the same, but the new ones inside the new random chest will also be char bound. I mean, whats the point you already wanted to open the random boxes to have a chance at the coin.
This doesn’t apply to the shards since they needed to be kept inside the random chest, but that isn’t the cause of the issue by itself.
Im in agreement. However I’m speculating that it was never the leapstones or support stuff that was the issue its the shards. Consistently in every event and across the board every time shard are “not” shareable between characters however leaps and supports are. I’m kinda of banking on the history of that particular policy rather then anything else. Also the fact they haven’t explicitly stated anything contrary yet.
Idk I think the shards were actually the issue rather then the leapstones. Shards are the #1 block for a most. And history has shown they don’t like characters being able to send shards to other characters. We’ve never ever been able to do that. Anything involving shards being tradable has always been a roster wide buy out to begin with and not a character based one.
I think they will just create new chest with leaps that is char bound and put that inside Frog gamba chests. I suspect that for them it is easier to just do 1 Frog Chest = 300g and not bother with already opened ones that could give either 2 or 5 chests + people could have used some of them or have them on different chars. You could of course still refund it if you tried, but I guess not that many people have them for AGS to care?
Honestly it didn’t feel to me like an exploit, but rather buffed Frog for the Anniversary. Yes, mats are cheaper, but what would be the price that wouldn’t make it an exploit in your eyes?
Shards were priced at some point about 55% of market value, but maybe around 65% if compared to other sources that sell cheaper (like Mari or bundles in cash shop). Still good, but that is limited time event that happens once a year, so it didn’t look sus to me. I was actually still thinking if I should buy them, cause I already have close to 1.5m for Artist.
GHL were clear winner here, since we usually get so little of them in free boxes and you could get em at less than 17g, so about 40% of market value, tho I would dare to say that market has them overpriced (to the point that juiced ppl run Kunge). New leaps were already pretty cheap, so that wasn’t much of a deal here. Normal Honor Leaps are kinda overpriced on the market, but at least we get a lot of them in boxes and don’t need much to hone, so they weren’t a factor IMO.
So if half the market price in a yearly event gold shop is an obvious exploit, then I don’t know how expensive it would have to be in order to look legit in your eyes (and still be roster bound).
Also, since most people were probably saving those mats for Artist, it would let them hone her to higher than anticipated ilvl, making support problems at higher raids less of an issue. So anyone complaining that Artist will stay low and only help with support shortage there would be no more. AGS managed to have her relevant despite releasing her so late. What an outstanding move… almost.
For each chest, you can get:
10 or 25 MHL
5 or 15 Solar Protection
4 or 10 Honor Shard Pouch (S)
As of this post, in NA West:
MHL are worth 97g
Solar Protection 216g
Honor Shard Pouch (S) 230g
This gives:
970 - 2425g worth of MHL for 300g
9700 -24250g worth of MHL for 3000g
1080 - 3240g worth of Solar Protection for 300g
10800 - 32400g worth of Solar Protection for 3000g
920 - 2300g worth of Honor Shard Pouch (S) for 300 g
9200 - 23000g worth of Honor Shard Pouch (S) for 3000 g
Per character, 29700 - 79650g worth of materials for 9000g
For anyone able to, 10 characters worth funneled into their main was:
290,700g to 790,650g worth of materials for only 90k
That is definitely significant. Those that didn’t open do not get this benefit. And to further add on insult, they can’t even get tokens for the Seal Exchange this week
but yes I wouldn’t call it an exploit. This is just a term carried over from anyone who experienced many instances of this kind of thing in New World, being used here to vent frustration. Players did nothing wrong. AGS however
Ok, so some regions have high enough market prices that this is actually bigger deal for them. I was talking about EUC prices.
NA West has so many RMTers that it is flooded with gold, making it less valuable. At least in my region it didn’t look like a bug.
This is why you and 90% of the people are completely wrong about this matter.
THis whole issue dropped the leapstone prices by A LOT.
People who want to invest in a future class can STILL Benefit from this by buying leastones off the Auction House. I dont understand why people dont just do this.
Not to mention we also get all that extra compensation.
Nothing from what i’ve said is missinformation. You could make use out of the exploit as a player who didnt get the mats from the frog event as well. Prices are still lower than what they were before the frog.
