I stayed away from games like LOL, Dota, CSGO etc for a very particular reason. The games have a reputation of having toxic people playing them.
The last game I heavily played was Animal Crossing and let me tell you about my experience. I used the trading website Nookazon quite a lot so I would be in contact (for a short while) with numerous other players. 99.9% of those exchanges were so positive and so full of love. Never did I have a bad feeling after speaking with other gamers on the platforms.
So here comes my concern. The switch(pun intended) from a positive community which was in AC to now Lost Ark is at times draining on my mentality. I am a sensitive person, I own it. I am not dramatic, I don’t like to make a fuss, but I am asking you to perchance acknowledge that those characters on the screen might not be bots anymore. I’m a person and I constantly pour positivity, only to be met with passive aggressiveness, hatred or whatever the else the person wants to let out into the game. A game which is still played by p e o p l e .
And yes, there are girls who play this game. Let’s talk about skins for a moment. I am a girl, I love fashion, and I love gaming. Those two combined - i coom. Acknowledging that there are players who love that “crap” and not being toxic about it would also be a great step to humanity.
I do not want to come across like I am whining, I mean this with all respect. I am not demanding for players to wise up and just be nice all of the sudden and send hearts in chat, whatever. I would just like for people to maybe see that being kind goes a long way, try to see it from the other side before being set with your own and acknowledge the other gender. <3
I wish there was a way to rate people in the game based on your interactions. And it would be shown on their character profile. It could help with filtering out toxic ppl from parties. But at the same time the feature would be abused by toxic ppl.
sadly op on the enter webs you will meet both nice people and arsehole at the same time.
It is taxing on mental but also something you will have to learn to walk away from
If someone you play with be that a group of people or a friend is making you feel that way then leave that situation
Lots of people keep only a tight net of friends just for this reason
I’m sorry, if someone else was rude to you
Good luck on your future adventures
I dont really have too many bad experiences tbh. There were some individuals that i remember like 2 months ago when the game was fresh. They were something else ill tell ya what.
But now in valtan the raids are longer and takes longer when you have to wipe. But for some reason i havent experienced any toxicity outside of week 1. People seem to be more understanding when you screw up, like to joke around and overall my past few clears have been a really fun experience.
I play alot of lol, the most toxic ppl are the ones who think theyre good (silver/gold). While the ones who are actually good (plat diamond etc) are usually alot more laid back. Just from my experience tho.
Moonmagiks on adrinne is always looking for new ppl if you’re interested in re rolling lol
No. I am just speaking up as a person who has experienced an overwhelmingly positive community in the past. I know that’s impossible in Lost Ark. But maybe my experience here, and my suggestion could open up someone’s heart for maybe even just elementary manners
I also was a part of the IG Animal Crossing communities, not a bit of toxicity. If you were toxic, you were called out and kicked out. There was only one account I knew of, she even contacted me. Dodged a bullet by not responding by all the posts made about her and how she would tell people to kill themselves for no reason. But other than that, only love.
What I was saying that those toxic people didn’t exist because they weren’t backed up which unfortunately isn’t the case for Lost Ark in many situations.
Masses of people will always behave in idiotic ways. Ignorance has always spread like wildfire. It’s been like this since forever. And now people have the luxury of hiding their identity through a screen and you expect decency? Only expect it from yourself.
