First of all, I loved knowing that the patch reflected our feedback such as Yoz’s Jar and 1460 honing buff.
But I can’t shake off the feeling of not being connected to AGS, and every patch we’ve got so far, we had to yonder and pray for the best.
So I’ve been thinking what the cause is, and I came to believe that it’s the lack community involvement of AGS outside of forums.
Many players of Lost Ark enjoy and interact with the game’s content externally through variety of sources including, but not limited to, twitch, reddit, twitter, and communications with the CMs like Roxx, Shadow and others who take care of customers that do not speak English.
And let’s face it, as a publisher it is also the publisher’s job to promote the game in conjunction with SG so that the game is successful and keeps on growing.
I’ve read a comment on other post of a user that said he or she subscribed to your official twitch channel, but havn’t seen the channel stream for the PAST 30 DAYS. I went to check your channel on Lost Ark stream and yeah you havn’t streamed in awhile.
I’m not asking for a NA version of LoaOn or an exclusive interview with the director or anything.
I’m suggesting at least start streaming a light segment like Lost Ark Week or anything that keeps you in touch with the playerbase in a more sociable manner, oh and with a host that actually has knowledge or passion for the game instead of someone who seem to do it for a monthly paycheque. Now that I think of it, I do not know anyone that is enthusiastic about this game that represents the AGS.
Hell, I read that CMs and employees working on Lost Ark also play Lost Ark, why not ask them for a raise of hand to see who’d be interested in streaming or doing a short segment once in awhile? There has to be someone in your office who’s as passionate as a player that played over 1500+ hours so far, right?
Look to your competitions like League of Legends, or PoE. RIOT has multiple segments or short talk shows that keep on interacting with the players.
You’re Amazon. World’s one of the largest companies. Unless Lost Ark and AGS itself is a side project of Amazon, show us what you can do for this awesome game. Despite negative feedbacks, the director put a lot of heart and time of his life into this game.
This game is more than just a video game. It became so from interaction between the players and people behind working for the game.
Make NAEU loyal to your game. It starts with proper PR.
