We want to see the name of the player who intentionally spoils the game by not voting.
There aren’t enough MMORPGs content in the game, so if I’m going with other players, I’d like to know who is intentionally bothering the rest of the group. This is more of a BotsRPG, where a bunch of players do it on purpose at every opportunity. It’s every day. The penalty for such players is zero, does it seem fair to you?
I have pointed out this problem several times and I am already running out of patience with this sloppyness. Do you need 200,000 players in statistics? Great, in a while you will have 200,000 players where half will be bots and the other half will make the game uncomfortable.
No; this is good design because no one should ever be forced into peer pressure to immediately hop in the portal just because you want to, or vice versa. If you want to rush to complete to get as many boss kills in the third area, go solo or with a premade group.
you say nonsense, there isn’t a single monster on the map, if he wants to stand on the map and can enjoy solo, your argument is absurd.
// If you have this opinion, you should find a game for one player and not bother the others, we are three against one and you say it is right? An absurd thought
Maybe they ran downstairs to let the dog in, maybe they are getting food or drink, ran to the bathroom, sending a text, changing clothes because they’re cold, had to blow their nose, answer the door, talk to a spouse, check on the baby, stretch their legs, check the laundry, answer an email. There are hundreds of reasons that aren’t malicious. Yes it’s annoying but life still happens even when playing a game.
GIVE ME THEIR NAME SO I CAN SHAME THEM.
This is toxic AF.
he did it on both maps, everyone ran, no one apologized, this is just alibis
I get it. It’s annoying. But I think naming people who aren’t hitting accept just opens players up for bullying & abuse - and calling out on the forums, Reddit or Discord. I’m not saying it wasn’t being done on purpose, only that there are hundreds of valid reasons why it wasn’t. Assume the best of others not the worst.
Maybe there is a reason and this is the reason I don’t group with people I don’t know. I may have to go do something for my invalid mom and it took me longer than I expected and therefore you are going to throw a fit because I am not back yet.
It’s incredibly funny how everyone here behaves like no one ever did it on purpose.
I don’t believe this is necessary. I recognize this would be annoying. I’ve also never had it happen to me so I can’t agree it is a widespread issue.
The game provides tools to prevent this from happening. You can use the party finder. Play with guild teammates. You can even run the dungeons solo. Naming, even for the purpose of reporting, is still not going to immediately resolve the issue, and as others have said, there could be cases there is a genuine reason someone had to step away.
The real flaw is with the game design. If a vote fails to pass say 3-4-5 times, it could progress regardless or do a timeout check and auto-kick the person who has failed to vote.
that it didn’t happen to you doesn’t mean that it can’t happen to anyone, I’m not in the guild, because it’s a problem, if they accept me into the guild, they throw me out right away, it’s probably a national sport in our country. because it happened to me more than once, I certainly wouldn’t mention it if it happened to me once. Furthermore, no one can guarantee that if you find a group through a search engine, it will not happen to you there, and in fact this way all the time.
You’ve made me quote myself. “Prevent”. I appreciate this is a feedback category, but someone suggests appropriate steps to take to lessen the impact, but far too many times the OP continues to ignore it because it wasn’t the solution they wanted. If you’re not open to discussion and want to dismiss it, why bother making a thread?
Of course there are people who do it maliciously, outing their names will bring nothing positive to the group or that run.
It will just lead to toxic harassment.
The solution is to find like-minded individuals and queue with them or go solo, with matchmaking you are always going to encounter someone who annoys you; example I see people complaining about not skipping cutscenes, about not pressing accept immediately, about afk’ing. It happens, in literally every multiplayer game you will encounter someone who doesn’t play the way you want.
Showing names to allow players to harass others is not a solution.
I understand that this is incredibly frustrating, but regardless of your intent, if implemented such a change would be used by some players to harass others. I really would recommend as others have finding guildies though. You typically move smoother through the dungeon and there is more accountability with a guild group.
Now this? This is a good suggestion. This not only addresses those people that spam enter, but also those people that spam refuse. I think the best of all worlds would be that once it reaches that point of so many failed votes (say, 10) or uncast votes (say, 2), it then plays out the timer in full on the next without auto-failing on a no vote or a lacking vote, and if it still fails, continues with the zone for everyone (because there is no guarentee that it is a single person voting no, either). I’d like to see an introduction of a gate timer too, so you can’t just spam enter on it as well, say 5s, since a vote no automatically ends the vote as is, as well as someone who fails to vote getting bypassed for voting in later rounds (so an AFKer doesn’t just permanently hold up the group, and limits trolling potential).
Disagree with this movement. Will more than likely lead to harassing that player.
That player may have kids to take care of, had an illness, using the bathroom and forgot, or just alt-tabbing the screen. So many scenarios~
Its only a minute of your time. If you dont have a minute to spare then you shouldnt be playing video games…
I don’t understand. Do you talk about the missed invite, because there is a Name of the player that missed it, or do you speak about Skip a Video?
If you talk about a Video. Forget it. Because people spammed in a Video I didn’t saw to this point, I now NEVER skip any Video. People should just relax.
Or, here’s a better idea that won’t lead to players being harassed:
For Matchmaking, add a checkbox for “skip cutscenes” - if people have that checked, they will only match with others that have it checked and vice versa. Then people who want to skip them all can guarantee they are only queuing with others who also want to skip.
OP was referring to skipping to the next room during a chaos dungeon, and not cutscenes.
