Yeah, they claimed 70+ Pheons, spent it all while the remaining 94.6% didn’t get anything and they expect to have nothing deducted after using all that free Pheons???
They even get to keep the items the bought.
Only possible if they exploited this, in that case deserved.

Though personally I’m happy to see those -700~ pheons because it had to be because of an obvious exploit, I do still somewhat feel bad for the people who just had 8+ alts and claimed them that way and might have used them for rolling ability stones or something.

Correct. I didn’t want to put the math out there because it’s not hard to see from the numbers I gave that that is exactly what I would have been fine with having upon logging back in. Not less than if I had done nothing at all. This is where I don’t understand the raison d’etre.
What is the point of punishing those who used the pheons from a mistake that wasn’t on the players’ behalf, especially after announcing that those that did obtain them were allow to keep them, and in good faith, have spent it on not exploiting something that couldn’t even be exploited to begin with.
I spent the pheons I got from Pheongate with the full understanding according to the announcements that we would be allowed to keep them and not be punished like this for using them. With the tripod overhaul, of course I would purchase whatever I can do adjust to the new changes. So, for doing so, I get dinged another 30 pheons when I was told there would be no repercussions in using them? What kind of lie is this???
In what universe is it fair to impose negative pheon penalties on those players after they’ve been told as such? Had I known, I would have still been pissed because I claimed those pheons and wouldn’t have been able to buy the tripods I needed because I’d have gotten punished anyway. How were we to know this would happen to us? And why do they think it’s fair to everyone else?
Not only did they lie to everyone, they lied to the players who claimed that mail by telling them it was fine to spend the pheons, that they believed that we used them “in good faith” so to speak when there was nothing to exploit in the first place. What else would we have done with those pheons? Imagine you lived under a rock and you didn’t realize this was a mistake, you claimed and spent the pheons thinking it was an early Christmas present from AGS/Smilegate. Now you’re in the negative for no reason.
This is beyond my ability to cope. I just can’t go back to this game out of principle, when I did absolutely nothing wrong. I’ve been banned before for using foul language in area chat, I’ve even gotten a full week + time for mouthing off back to AGS in our email correspondences. I accepted that there’s no such thing as actual free speech even though I did nothing wrong and submitted screenshots to prove I did not violate the code of conducts but received a week and a half long ban anyway. I got over it.
But this? This is worse than the lies that are the faceting success rate, the tripod success rate, honing success rates, all of that. Hell, blatantly lying about those statistics would be illegal in Vegas casinos. I could forgive all that and move on, but punishing players for doing what they were told was in the green is just blasphemous. I won’t be lied to anymore.
Maybe I’m being petty. Maybe I’m being unreasonable. Maybe I’m being self-entitled. Call it what you want. But I call BULLSH!T.

We should have at the very least been penalized for exactly what we spent as if we never claimed those mistaken pheons at all. That’s not the case, we have been penalized beyond what we spent despite them saying we could keep those pheons. We were lied to and now we’re being punished for it.
It’s about as fair as a solution as we could have gotten. I would have preferred something like 60 pheons to everyone but expecting that many is… Unlikely given what we know about SG/AGS.
Sorry that you’re in the 5% that got more than 30 pheons but you also probably saw this coming and that’s why you spent all of the pheons immediately so they couldn’t take them back, right?
Pretty sure more than 5.8% of people claimed over 30 pheons. The bots likely didn’t claim any so that’s skewing your numbers. I bet the active players was closer to 25%.
In all fairness, this is a good step. You got free pheons. You spent your free pheons. most people did not. You still keep your items but are now in the negative as if you need to purchase the appropriate amount of pheons to zero out as you would have if you didnt receive free pheons. On top of this, they are giving everyone 30.
So you actually made out like the rest of us. If you received 100 free pheons and are in the negative, you got 30 free…so you’re only in the negative 70 and you have your items purchased. Its a net positive.
Did you really expect no attempt at equal playing field here??
Now, the whole situation is cringe and BS AF. I dont know how things like this continue to happenm, who is making design decisions, who is in charge of QA. And Pheons SHOULD be removed from the game entirely. They dont even discuss this and avoid it at all costs. Shady and more cringe. No one likes the pheon system.
Even a 20% tax is preferable than pheons because pheons are so volatile due to crystal market.
100g item X 20% tax is 120g. Fair.
100g item X 9/25 pheons (~2600g per 95 crystal equates to roughly 7800 gold were of pheons)…
7800 gold in tax vs 20 gold in tax for a 100g item. Its disguisting. Let smilegate do whatever they want in their market. The west thinks this is greedy and Amazon should know better than to let crap like this exist in our market. Consumers hate this and shy away from greed like this.

And you cant use broker, cant buy cheap engravings now, and therefore loose out on so much gold, that you´ll have to spend more than others
