I don’t know why you’re so insistent you don’t exploit or cheat in games, but okay.
Your whole argument is based on an assumption that we are all skeptical gamers who reject free things from the creators/publishers. I don’t know why anyone would assume it was a mistake since pheons are literally what we needed to do the exact thing the mail was telling us to do.
I dont see why youre so upset that youre paying for what you used.

I didn’t know that it not meant to send to every character. First I was playing before the resets. I’ve got a mail with Pheons on the character said about tripod so I think they give a gift to the player to save some tripod. I cleared the daily of the character, I changed to another. Then another also got the mail, so I thought they read and listened my survey. But I didn’t spend it yet because I had my own Pheon already. Till they siad that I can keep the pheon for good use, then I spend it. Now they took it away. it doesn’t damaged me much. But at the end I want them to get rid on Pheon systems.
Um… you can. Its called overdrafting.
And then youd pay fees for it.

No, you can’t overdraft with coins or dollars, these are not accrual based currencies in this game, they’re real time.

Same, i dont like the pheon system at all. Its wack that things cost more gold in pheons than the items normally do.

Don’t forget AGs can just shut down the servers and depending on cleverly ToS was written they can pretty much get away with everything.
The explanation here is simple.
The AGs business team decided that instead of resending pheons to every character in the game it is better to just remove pheons from the people who claimed it.
There are many reasons why that might happen

There is no loan. We didn’t consent in any loan. We didn’t know it was unintended and it would have been taken back. We spent those pheons in ways that we normally wouldn’t, but since they were free we used in whatever way. Even if people hadn’t used by the time that servers were brought down, Roxx came here to assure everyone that pheons won’t be deducted. So they made sure people would spend them and then the next day they just put everyone into negative count. That’s not a loan buddy. That’s called SCAM.
Correct, this isn’t a loan, and people who keep claiming it as such are just plain wrong. I’m tired of the he said she said crap of opinions without information. So…
People who keep claiming others knew what they were doing was wrong by accepting mail on multiple characters are completely ignoring that Amazon stated that was NOT an issue.
Regardless if the mail was a mistake or not, it wasn’t the exploit. The exploit was deleting/re-creating characters to keep getting pheons, per both:
They also initially claimed that they would not be removing the pheons people collected in mail, also in this one (same as one above):
Which, as all know, later changed to removing them all, and giving everyone 30, thus putting a many people into negatives. So yes, aside from people deleting/re-creating characters to exploit the mail and keep gaining pheons beyond the characters they had, the claims that “it’s a loan” or “people did it knowing it was wrong” are complete and utter bullshit.
Well things are pretty simple if you think rationally.
Imagine you get 200 pheons out of nowhere and AGS make statement that those pheons wont be removed. At this point if you need item you will spend pheons to take it, and if you dont need you will save the pheons right? (ofc there are exceptions to every rule, but doubt there will be that much). If you saved them and they are removed you wont be on negative, if you spent them on item you needed anyway and now you are on negative - you should be happy that you could buy the item you needed sooner and now to return the negative pheons, instead to wait to buy pheons and get the item you needed after some time. Either way - doubt there will be anyone complaining if any of what i wrote above was true.
In the other hand People saw AGS statement that Pheons will be removed and they decided to be smartasses and spend all 210 pheons so “nothing can be removed if i have nothing left right?”. And this by it self is exploit, And i am glad that AGS decided to make then go to negative pheons
You are missing a very key element of all of this.
Many people are F2P. Some people spent these before they knew it was a mistake (I was online when it came through and thought it was something awesome they were sending to prep us for the upcoming change to tripods). Some spent after they knew it was a mistake. Some after AGS said they could keep them.
Whatever. The key point is that putting people in the negative also makes the AH unusable until they get out of the negative (unless that changed). So people who are F2P will likely have to spend money to get out of negative. They don’t get to pay it back slowly. They will have to earn a nice chunk of gold without the AH to pay those Pheons back unless they swipe.
200 Pheons is 1700 blue crystals. That’s close to $50 they will have to spend or 50k gold they will need to farm/spend before they get their AH back.
Even if the AH thing is not an issue anymore, they still can’t buy anything for their new Reapers until they farm that gold or swipe.
People are on here talking about banks. The analogy is more like the bank deposited someone else’s check in your account. Then they said they would take the money back. You say crap, and they come back to say nevermind…our mess up. You keep the money. You spend it, and then they take it all back anyway and make your account negative. Now you are in a pretty crappy situation that is really because the bank couldn’t make up their mind and communicate a plan with you to fix the situation.
Lots of people would probably be looking for a new bank. Just saying.

if this was true - what is the real problem then? That people bought items they needed without having to wait gold to be able to buy pheons, and can use their items now and return the pheons by time?

The problem is, people got these in the mail, Amazon stated both that they weren’t removing them and claiming them on multiple characters was ok, so people used them, then Amazon reneged on their decision and put people into negatives after the fact once servers were closed.
Whether people got things they needed or not is completely moot.
You can’t return them over time bc the AH is closed to you until you are out of the negative. Please someone correct me if I am wrong bc I am at work now, and I can’t verify, but from what I understand, you can’t do anything with the AH if you are neg Pheons.
So it’s like they are saying “Pay us back, but until you do, you can’t go to your second job”. A large portion of gold making is taken away if AH is off limits to them. They have to farm the gold through raids and convert. Or they have to swipe.
It’s not cool to be F2P but put ppl in a “must swipe” situation bc you flip flopped on your plan of action 4 times.
