I just claimed my Egg pet from my prime gaming benefits and it seems that this is the only pet in the game that has a rare quality instead of the usual epic one (purple). That means that this pet is not usable since rare pets don’t give both buffs that epic ones give instead it only gives one. See images below for more.

Yep have the same thing on my egg. I think it’s meant to be like that. Unless someone else confirms the contrary.
its blue on purpose. in the future when we catch up to kr/jp you are able to upgrade your pets.

Also you can simply use your higher pet and still keep the egg for the stronghold ship dispatch as for there you count the element/affinity
