I wanted to share my opinion on new players experience in LA.
Basically, from the game or business point of view new players are a MUST and having the player base grow is the most appealing thing for the developer. However, the older, more experienced players sometimes get really heated when seeing lvl 2 grudges or players rocking domination / expertise builds on Yoho making the run 10 mins long.
My suggestion for the decision would be creating a few guide pages on Steam or Suggesting players some guides for Engravings / Gems / Tripods and so on. I think this would be better for both new players and existing veterans. As the community is pretty toxic towards low level of game knowledge already, and there is a lot to learn for newbies.
If they won’t get any advice - players will simply start leaving cause they can’t understand what’s wrong and how to do things the right way. When the initial Wester Release was happening every YouTuber, Twitch streamer and their mother were making guides on how to develop your character efficiently, and now this type of content is nowhere to be seen, when actually needed again
For last 2 months I am doing nothing more than helping new players when I am done with content so I have seen a lot of opinions from them.
Out of all of them only single person didn’t know where to look for guides and info on what to do. Most of them openly told me that “for now it’s fine so I don’t care, I’ll care later”.
Yeah, and this logic comes from the fact that they don’t know how much more comfortable their gameplay would be if they did things right, they have no real example or goal to go towards.
Yeah, you “Can” but no-one will accept you to the party with those, unless you play support or smth, gear elitism is not getting better, and the game is crazily toxic for those who didn’t yet reach the so-called “Bare minimum” the community is expecting.
People that never done content before should form their parties tagged as “learning” or “first clear”. Majority of people doing easier content won’t be so eager to spend too much time in argos on valtan if these are their alts that they want to clear fast. Everyone has different expectations so I would rather standarize tagging parties in party finder so players may find similar ones on their level much easier, rather than make big deal out of it.
Plus it will get even more on this side after releasing next raid, when our mains are going to be doing 3 raids weekly, many alts are going to be above 1445 etc.
at least fror tripods u have the recommended skills tab when u are in the skill menue
there u can see what most players run in what type of content and basically copy paste it
on the other stuff there are enough guide sites out there that will give u a base idea on what to run
simply looking for ur class on youtube will do the same
because of the above i think it wont welp using recources to build another place for guides etc
cause there are already enough out there
and people who dont intend to use those will most likely not use the new one aswell
unless u force them to
in which case it defeats the purpose cause those guides are ment to guide people who need/want them
not force it upon them
Haha my first berseker was 1000+ endurance 3x3 when reached 1370, back then when the game launched. Was fun. You can barelly die but for some reason i still.managed to get mvps good ol days when everyone was a pleb
It’s a bit late for new players to enjoy the experience of Lost Ark in the game. You can play the main quests and do the leveling content and progression but when it comes down to it you have to figure out majority of the game yourself by playing and experiencing it. At least they have a mokoko icon in their name that lets you know what kind of an idea that player is when playing the game.
