Thats the point, its not happening to all the new players, it mostly happens if you have a new steam accnt and new to accnt in lost ark. I read some old accnts got affected but a very miniscle amnt. Overall the issue is coming from Steam and the only way to bypass it for now is buy something in LA.
If ppl think its scummy then I suggest they quit it wont get better. But if they like the game enough just and you think its worth it the $10 atleast, and mind you, that $10 is not a fee to use the market place, you can use them for anything in the shop. I saw some new mokokos in Elzowin bought the pack with 30 days and mount for their bypass solution.
Ofcourse its bad, hope there is a fix but for now they are not motivated enough to fix it.

they changed their answers to how system works about 4 times in the last 3 months.

What do you mean its not true, It does, or else it wont be an isolated incident and all accounts have to buy something in LA to get trusted. Theres something fundamentally wrong with how LA was implemented in Steam. And as I said, they are not motivated or know how to to fix it (example: disconnects are tied to the anti cheat) since they make money. Scummy? ofcourse! im not defending it. False information? I dont know, maybe. Most ppl know going into the game thats its P2W not F2P. They will try to get your money.
They did not discriminate, it seems to be an issue about steam integration. Other countries have their own launcher and this was not an issue. EAC disc issue is tied to steam and I hate that they did not not fix it completely after 9 months.
Easy there, ppl know its a legit issue and it sucks, game needs more new players. Unfortunately changes will be very slow because LA has a P2W system. Now its just a matter of if you like the game enough to see through its huge flaws to continue playing or just quit.
On a side note. I wish I SS my convo with one buddy of mine, he said that he bought forspoken, a very bad game in his opinion, he said (not verbatim), âI paid money of that shitty game, now why can I be frugal in a game I like.â
let me explain to you, getting trusted on steam is easy, you just add 5⏠and you get trusted in like 2 weeks, however lost ark trusted status is different, they could just flag all steam trusted accounts and make them trusted in lost ark, but thatâs not the case, they have their own flagging (example is when you buy royal crystals you get flagged by lost ark system and you get trusted within 72 hours), and no one knows how the system works if you donât spend money in game, not even them, no one will give you the answer you are looking for if you ask them. It is garbage, inconsistent, I have seen people who bought royal crystals not getting trusted for weeks, months, I have seen people with 11 year old steam accounts with over 100 purchases not getting trusted in lost ark, it is absolute sh!tshow. If they made lost ark trusted status = steam trusted status we wouldnât have any of these problems.
steam canât verify your lost ark account/status, they can provide you information that your steam account is not restricted, and that should be enough for lost ark to make your account trusted, but itâs not anymore, because they want you to give them the money.
Amazon just silently changed how the system works, trusted status on steam is not enough anymore, you have to spend money in the game, amazon live chat support told me that yesterday.
Fine. I understand, I can live with that. But when my opinion is asked, I feel obliged to provide as it is, especially since, defending this game strongly, I am pressured to be honest, transparent and consistent. If Iâm not like that in everyoneâs eyes, my arguments are weightless.
I also understand they should know better than us, since they have all the data to come to their decisions, and Iâve been trying to warn people about that fact.
But in the end, with all these people complaining all the time, having even a few users âscammedâ for 10$ without having access to crucial in-game features, I mean you gotta know there is absolutely no data which can justify such a decision.
Surely itâs obvious that image, reputation is at stake here. Thatâs not something you can easily fix once you lose it. There are psychological manipulations which can sometimes work, but thereâs only a few of those which havenât been used in this very game already xD
Hi, I remember talking to you yesterday about new steam accounts. Just to give you an update, since my thread was closed, my friend bought around 70$ worth of royal crystals yesterday, so he can south vern powerpass his character. He cannot use the auction house or trade yet, but there was a timer of 3 days for him in a pop up, due to his character being just recently powerpassed, and they are âwaiting for the payment to finishâ, I assume to counter people who refund/chargeback?
I guess 3 days for him is better than having to wait for months(for not even a guarentee), but will update you whether he actually can use it after 3 days or if its false.
yeah thanks, the 3 day lock up is also annoying, I think it was also invented to combat the bots if I am not mistaken. If he doesnât get trusted after 3 days this will become a real sh!tshow
It was stated that it is a fraud prevention method. Strange that no other game that exists does this to âcombat fraudâ. Obviously itâs a company issue, not a game or fraud issue.

From what I read youâre both on a pointless rant. Both Lost Ark and WoW are Free to Play based on the majority of definitions Iâve found. You can progress the entirety of Lost Arkâs story for free with certain limitations which makes it free to play and you can play WoWâ's base game entirely for free indefinitely with certain limitations which also makes it free to play.
The difference between the two is that WoW markets itâs free to play content as a free trial so people are not deluded into thinking the entire game and itâs content is free while Amazon Games Studio markets Lost Ark as âfree to playâ which allows the idea of the entirety of the content being accessible while purchases are available to who decide to make them.
Itâs just a difference of marketing and perspective. Continuing to argue on the subject is a waste of time for everyone and makes you both seem like you have difficulty understanding simple things.
No, you canât progress though the last expansion for free in WOW. (not to mention the limitations you have on the free trial you canât ad friends, make parties, etc)
In lost ark you can progress and play every content FOR FREE.
In my definition itâs not (as wow is free to try and not free to play in my pov), but well, i guess it is for the rest of the world, thereâs a game called Dofus thatâs considered free to play even tho u canât get out of the first city if youâre not paying so i guess everything is possible x)
