Today after finding out that tomorrow will be nothing I just kind of logged off even though there was plenty I could have done had I stayed online. First time this has occurred since launch for me.
Been grinding away since launch day playing a “no-life” amount daily and I’ve always found ways to be engaged/entertained across characters in my roster and the various activities in the game. Something about the roadmap debacle and the excitement marketing lead up to the April content update just kind of sapped the motivation out of me.
Wasn’t even interested in logging in several hours later to pump a couple pvp games for the end-of-week ranking or to use up my nearly capped energy which were things I’ve enjoyed doing in the past. I just… kind of don’t care anymore.
If u scroll up u can see they made several hints at a release tomorrow and some CM’s also apologised for letting us know about the delay earlier.
As I said, this thread is about their communication, i don’t care about the delay itself. It’s just that their communication is so bad and they keep saying “we will try do better soon, we will do it blabla” but there is no improvements
tbh there is no sides here. or at least there shouldn’t be. the second you solidify opposing sides between devs and players is the second the game starts to fail.
its not like people had baseless opinions about Amazon, they have a proven track record of being crap. Some of us knew this, we told you this. glad you’ve opened your eyes. Amazon will Amazon.
The only reason as of why the update was not teased for this week and instead it was for the next week probably is because of the fact that the update itself was actually meant for the end of the month and not even 21/4/2022.
The outbreak from the community probably rushed the update.
What can i say? Better late than never? We will probably see the Artist sometimes next year if we are lucky.
Woh now, that seems overly optimistic. Best I can see is Summoner by next year, and only because it’s already working in the current build. Let’s not set up unrealistic expectations.
Show me an example of their “trying tho” in improving communication with the player base. AGS has historically been very, very bad at being transparent. Hell, just look at the “road map” that came out in April…for the month of April/May. That’s not a road map. Road maps, typically, span out the coming six months. Not for the current/following month only.
Still, the road map was vague on purpose. Gave loose dates to hype up the player. Patches came and went with what the patches contained being released the day before.
AGS doesn’t care about feedback. It has a schedule already laid out and relies on CM’s to be the buffer to calm the inferno of rage from the player base.
Do I wish there was better transparency? Hell yes. Do I expect to get it? Hell no I don’t.
