sooo the basic complain of this thread is full valid 
well this can everyone answer themself ⌠i need it to even have entertainment ⌠depends on circumstances etc but if the game is jsut unbalanced or extremly unfair there is not much fun .
But donât worry just discussing i kind of lost the hope for lost ark ⌠it had some good moments and it has a nice fluid battle system⌠the building of the character is intersting as well but it just canât get over its flaws

Honing mats from the pass are just additional materials, they are not some exclusive item that cannot be earned in-game.
Additional mats are an incentive for people to buy the pass IF they have the funds. In order to sell something, you have to provide something beneficial. Why would anyone buy anything if thereâs no value in it?

conspiracy? what are you smoking. this is how the gold exchange works. you buy royal crystals and those crystals are traded too another player for gold and then converted too at a set ratio too blue crystals. the only other way for a paid player too turn cash into gold within the ToS is to sell skins or mounts. which is only effective when there is alot of hype for a given skin (and most of the best skins are seasonal so its not consistent.)
i never said there was a magic date when people stop buying, its simply something that could happen passively over time.
there is barely anything too buy with blue crystals right now, you dont need to buy peons once you have your stone + accessories (plus theyve given out so many free ones so far). so the only thing actually worth buying is the crystal aura which is only 2k~ gold (a day or so worth of gold.) and its bought once per month.
then as prices of mats go lower mariâs shop becomes less and less worth it so people stop buying from it. which lowers demand further
there just overall there isnt much of a reason to buy blue crystals. sure spenders could sell outfits and its great and all, but its a hype driven market that doesnt last.
without f2p players too trade gold too the paid players, the paid players cannot âbuy goldâ. even if the f2p players are happy with how the game plays, they will still stop buying blue crystals because they simply have nothing to spend them on.
the ark pass, and things like character slots or reskin coupons. being available for purchase with blue crystal means more people spend gold buying the BC, which improves demand. and that raises the âpriceâ of blue crystal. which incentivizes people to buy more gold, thus giving amazon/smilegate a better profit margin.
i suck off this game as much as the next white knight but i do try too atleast be smart about it. ive had alot of fun with this patch. but im realistic, i see a problem and so i point it out.
so if blue crystal is a âpremium currencyâ with a real world value. then give ONE good reason you cant buy everything in the shop with it. amazon/smilegate dont lose money when a player uses blue crystal, they make the same exact amount of money either way.
IMO there should be an equal footing for f2p and p2w players. You are right, there should be value to it and thatâs why f2p players probably would love to buy it as well. And since blue crystals are a currency exchange gained currency, someone else paid for those. And some people just have a huge thing for not spending a cent on games and I can understand that.
So I see a valid point in the argument âWhy isnât the Premium Arkpass available for F2P-Playersâ.

first of all the question isnt p2w, the point im making is if no ones buying blue crystals then its harder for people too buy a reasonable amount of gold. so no one buys it, and amazon/smilegate make less money.
so ill repeat this until someone can give me a good answer.
if blue crystals are a premium currency with a real world value attached. then give one good reason why we cannot use them too buy everything in the shop. amazon/smilegate make the exact same amount of money from a royal crystal purchase and a blue crystal purchase as they both have a dollar value attached.

Every business in the world is âpredatoryâ. It is up to the consumer to be aware of that and spend their money appropriately based on their circumstances.

its shooting themselves in the foot. if free players have no reason too buy blue crystals, then blue crystal prices go down so low that no paid player would want too buy gold from it.
this also lowers the price of outfits sold on market (because people price match based on the 'value of gold via blue crystal), so the whales eventually go to bot-farmers to get gold.
so amazon and smile gate make no money. is this exaggerated a lil for dramatic effect? yes but the point stands.
smilegate/amazon make less money by having so few things being purchase-able with blue crystals.
some people either cant, or wont spend money. but those people can generate revenue through blue crystal sales. its a win win for everyone
Yes it is stupid I am 100% with you., itâs the same with skins. Why donât they release multiple skins? So you buy every single one of them because the next one will always be better. Itâs just marketing with 0 experience in game marketing.
But if no one complains nothing changes. And when I, someone who pays for stuff, tries to defend f2p-players and gets shutdowned by f2p-players I donât know if complaining will be doing anything good.

They might have a value attached but the rate at which they fluctuate gives one more value than the other at any give time based on the market.
If you make them equal in value at all times then they just cancel eachother out therefor making one or the other useless. But since it doesnt work like that and gold drives the market, allowing everyone to buy everything with blue crystals would kill the value of gold and they would commit business suicide. They would only earn a fraction of what they are earning now.
Like it or not the system is there to a.) Make them money, and beleive it or not, b.) Let free players have access to otherwise inaccessible content.
Honestly these money making systems in games are just so complicated I dont think you or I have any right to assume the intricacies. They are there because they are proven to work olain and simple and nothing is going to change in that regard no matter how much complaining goes on in the forums.
I still donât understand whatâs the pay-to-win aspect of this game is about? What do you win? Weapon glow contest? E-peen contest? Big D numbers contest? or are you guys just trying to make the game look as bad as possibly by labelling it p2w?
Do you guys (the p2w complainers) even feel a wee bit shameless for demanding almost every aspect of the game to be free despite already playing the game for free? You want everything in the game to be free and then youâll be happy? Am I right to say that?
If the game is not f2p friendly, it should be subscription based. I for one am a very big supporter of subscription based games like FFXIV. Not sure why but sub based games tend to have a better and cleaner community. I can hardly find a post in FFXIV forum that demands f2p at every corner. Itâs a shame that this game isnât subscription based, the forum wouldâve been a better place if it was.

I donât think p2w is such a negative label. Iâd consider the game and myself p2w rn because I bought the founderâs pack and imo is every single thing I buy an advantage compared to f2p players.
I can play the game and sill call it p2w because it is just how I feel about it.

The key word here is win. How is this game competitive in any way that you feel you need to win against other players? It is a misconception that there is any winning at all.
I just enjoy the competitiveness in some PvE games, for example DPS and stuff. Itâs not always balanced but itâs just for the shits and giggles. For me playing with my friends and being a little bit competetive in the PvE aspect ist just something that feels good for me.
Being effecient stuff like this. I donât spread that competitve aspect to the whole playerbase because I donât want to be toxic.
And since it feels this way for me, I believe there are players that also have that feeling of PvE competitiveness.
The problem is with a lot of youtubers/streamers opinions being injected into peopleâs mentality. SG gave out a huge amount of free stuff like Feiton powerpass, super express mission and Ark pass Free. People still want more free stuff when literally they gave out a bunch. When SG decides to implement one small stuff where if u want more you gotta pay. Then complainers is gonna complain more. Before Ark passes comes out people already on youtube voice out their opinions it being pay2win. You can never please these f2p players when literally they already given 3 handful amount of free stuff.
