I’ve never played an mmo that i didnt have a secondary form of stimulation going in the background except when going through story quests in FFXIV. Mmos are by their very nature grind fest, and secondary stimulation is practically mandatory to all activities that arent story or raiding.
Why should I watch a streamer play a game instead of play the game?
misleading conclusion even if the evidence is factual. ALL of the famous NA streamers are on NA east… this is a fact, thus all the bots moved to NA west for some reason.
LA NA won’t pop off untill more content drops most likely legion raids

This made me laugh. Maybe its because i have kids though.
This hahaha People don’t need to watch a streamer playing a game since they can just play the game. Streamers are doing same thing we are doing. They just want easy money. Don’t create anything helpful.
When we start to talk about tutorials videos, game news videos, mostly uploaded in YouTube, watch these content creators start to make sense.
Streamers as Asmongold are useless. They content is useless.
I can barely stand to watch me play lost ark, let alone watch someone else play it.
Sounds like a good tutorial for developing adhd
lack of content but then people complain when they aren’t at the content and call them out for enforcing p2w.
The thing is that lost ark is not “cool to watch”
I mean the majority of the content is farming, there is no real interest to watch someone farm and fill in his “to do list”…
In opposite, I like watching a stream of elden ring or a raid from WoW for exemple, because there is some chalenge, there is competition during the world first etc…
When (or if) lost ark becomes an “esport” game, maybe there will be more viewers.
I didn’t see a lot of stream from kr version, but I suppose that the content is not the same and there is viewers because they show very late game content (on which there is a real difficulty). Where is the challenge for farming guardians and do abyss donjons…
Guild wars 2 doesn’t have a big stream or content creator presence either but when I played the game it was doing just fine with lots of people online
Lost Ark still has awesome social media numbers which is quite surprising for how tedious the game loop is. The story is enjoyable but after it it’s just repeating una/chaos/abyss with multiple characters for hours every day same.
do people actually watch or minimise streamers for reasons other than twitch loot?
Ive never thought to myself. “hey, lets watch someone play something ive got installed and could be playing”
Yep. People that watch other people play video games are clearly not playing with a full deck. Our society is turning into Idiocracy.
Just wait for the simpletons to start howling.
high quality film… i mean documentary.
Some of us aren’t mental midgets and can handle focusing on more than one thing at a time, like listening/watching our favorite streamers.
Like you are complaining on the forums and taking orders from a drive-thru window. Good job.
after you check the latest Official News, you’ll start to watch another game hahaha
I called it…they came howling just like i predicted!
I don’t regret my 698 hours (plenty of AFK time of course.)
That said, the game’s management is letting me down slowly, and I’m actually at peace with the possibility of quitting. Their CM talks to us TONS compared to other games, and I like that, but the devs don’t seem to talk to their CM. Poor management…I’d be very frustrated to be a CM for LA.
Watching streamers play Artist is a double-edged sword for me. It’s the primary release I’m waiting for, but I’m getting the feeling that they will use it to milk players for a very long time.
With how long they are delaying these patch notes, my faith is nearly depleted. The more I write this post, the worse it gets, so I’m just going to stop; they’ve pretty much already made sure this won’t be my main game.
Heroes of Arkesia,
During final testing for the April Update our QA team found some critical issues, requiring us to delay the April update while we work to resolve them. We know this comes as a disappointment, as we’re excited for both South Vern and the Glavier to arrive in Arkesia. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these issues and release the April Update.
This JUST came out. Holy hell, can you guys hire people? Amazon, Smilegate…come on.
I’m almost done. Genuinely.
