No, I just know it’s stupid. Straight up for ya.
I think that is incorrect. Just because not everyone uses the forum does not mean that the ideas and topics discussed in the forums and the opinions stated are not representative of the larger majorities feelings on the matter. Most people don’t care enough to even want to voice their thoughts or they think what they say won’t matter, which is true. To dismiss the complaints of people on the forums and try to pigeonhole them into “the minority” is intellectually disingenuous. I think the MAJORITY of players think that the class cadence is too slow and that not releasing the 1460 honing buffs with Vykas is stupid. Now either way, the two of us can’t say for certain which way it is but I will say as evidenced by twitch views, the recent review bombs, the steam number decline post bot wave ban, and the fact that I have for all intents and purposes quit and so have basically every one of my friends and half of my guild, the game is not on the incline.
Fairly certain the reviews are meant for other, potential players, not anyone in your company. It is meant as a way to deter a growing population, despite the horrible issues persisting ingame. It is a bit of a shadey way to force someone to take a real look at the issues, or at very least give a heads up that they are being worked on, not just looked at. I’d imagine the reviews will change once progress has been made to fix those complaints.
guess it’s time for a negative review
smilegate celebrating 800k “players” was the last straw for me.
They don’t give a fuck about us really holding classes for money not taking any real action against rmt or bots.
I don’t feel so good bros.
Steam Reviews are getting closer to the truth every day by about 1% per day.
" Lost Ark, Amazon Games’ first externally developed title, topped Steam and Twitch charts at release, and has reached more than 10 million players since launching in February 2022"
I can’t wait when it reach “Mostly negative.” ![]()
This.
I can give my word that if they were to backtrack on their awful Class Release schedule, commit to 1 class release per month, I would immediately change my review.
It actually isn’t too late to turn things around and start listening to the players.
Doesn’t mean I would change my review to positive. But I would at the very least retract the negative. There are still a lot of issues with the game, (bots, lack of honing catch up at t3, etc).
Do I think they are going to make any changes, or even offer us so much as a public statement? Hell no!
If there’s anything I learned from NW, it’s that AGS “make their bed”, then remain stubborn and sleep in it until it’s too late to save. In fact, they seem to like to double-down on unpopular decisions. They don’t seem to be able to see beyond short/mid term profits … <($_$)>
if they start banning RMT players permanently, and I could sip their tears on the forums when they’ll go about crying, at this very moment I’ll be satisfied and will return my initial positive review of the game.
until then, I’ll hold my stance, and watch this world burn from afar.
Okay I am writing mine… uninstall over queue… i will say the good things but i cannot do thumb have to do thumb down until no queue thnk u
so glad to see it drop down every day.
A lot of whales are doing it legit via the cash shop. Those players will never be getting banned. The game is just pay to win like that.
That’s the least of my worries, though, because those players don’t pose much of a threat.
The biggest issue is when they determine raid release based on those players’ inflated ilvls
Although most developers pay some mind to Steam reviews, the impact of a positive or negative review varies enormously. For a game like Lost Ark which has a huge following, a bad review is a drop in the ocean. “We’re in a privileged position where I think we’ve got enough goodwilll/playerbase in the community that your either playing the game or your not.
when I talk about RMT, I’m only mentioning players engaging in Real Money Trade outside of in-game purchase. (gold websites that generate money through botting).
I really don’t care about the legit whales, as they maintain an influx of blue crystals that regulate inflation.
RMT players on the other hand, ruin the economy by generating large amount of gold AND buying blue crystals, sending their prices through the roof.
edit : haha I forgot, they also bring a MASSIVE amount of bots because those third party websites have to keep up the demand/offer
I will happily return my review to being positive once I have seen enough action against RMT. I only changed it to negative after the exchange on my server has become inflated to the point of where pheons cost me more than the actual accessories I need them to buy.
Even if the exchange wasn’t yet borked to the point of being unaffortable, Slimegate’s press release about how thrilled they are about having 800k concurrent “players” on global servers would have made me do it. I suggest running the article through google translate yourself.
This clearly illustrates how little they care and/or how out of touch they are.
My review will remain negative until all classes are released, until we have a decent collection of skins available and until they have a working viable solution against botters and RMTers.
So basically, it looks like my review is there to stay. The only reason why I still have the game on my PC at this point is just to take screens of the queue on the west, since according to a CM, those whose job it is to monitor the servers don’t know how terrible the queue’s are until they’re given the information by players.
Getting steam reviews to a negative status is likely our only way of “speaking” to SlimeGate about how unhappy we are with the state the game and them CELEBRATING the false number of players caused by the MASSIVE bot problem.
This game is literally unplayable at this point due to bot and forever long queues.
I have put almost 1000 hours in and I am on the edge of quitting.
Every time I want to play the game, I need to queue up for 2 hours. Those bots and RMTers are never punished. They can enjoy their 20+ weapons while the regular players like us have to grind multiple alts and cannot even keep up with RMTers.
After several months, I still don’t see Amazon and SmileGate taking bot issues seriously. The fact that SmileGate is celebrating concurrent 800K “Real Players” just disgust me. Sorry but I have to leave a negative review.
If this bot and queue issue is not resolved in 1 week, I will just quit and don’t give a damn about Vykas.

Everything started from 1 June because of Class cadence, “listening” feedback, Bots being more agressive, drip feeding etc…
22% positive yesterday. They might catch up to BF2042.
