When it was first announced that amazon would publish lost ark. I was legitimately happy. Because other publishers? they are ROTTEN. without saving.
You, Amazon games studio, however. are NOT rotten. the problem however is. you are GROSSLY incompetent, it ruined new world for quite a lot of people and you’re ruining lost ark as well with it.
BUT that we can work with. competence can be improved!
So i really hope you listen to the following advice:
Things you MUST absolutely do.
CLOSE European central servers for new accounts.
Right now you’re trying to put out a gas fire there. without first shutting of the gas mains. it will just never work.
Remove the area chat restriction. IT DOES NOT WORK.
All you’re doing is punishing your actual players. gold sellers will just use their software to afk level up to the point where they can spam again. what does that do? push them further into the game. giving more of an annoyance to later areas where more active people congregate. you’re not fixing the problem. or mitigating it. you’re making it actually worse.
Things you really SHOULD do.
One of the things you want is more people to move from central to west. however people have a Innate fear of missing out. we call it FOMO. a lot of people already claimed twitch drops and more on their central server. now the extra founder pack helped (though the lawmaker being undyeable is shitty) a lot of people are also really bummed out about the twitch drops.
Now the best way to fix this would be to add those to the exclusive EUW login reward event.
Hire in game moderators that actively look at the chat channels and are able to see and respond to in game reports quickly.
Add more skins to the shop asap. you’re in it for the money we know that. that’s not a bad thing. the 2 important things for that is keeping your customers happy (and with the above points people should become a lot happier) and giving customers things they want to buy. RIGHT NOW.
we got neither.
There are more things that need fixing or to be looked at. but these are some glaring issues I myself see happening right now.
I REALLY hope you read these points. and follow them. tonight elden ring will launch and ill be playing that while putting lost ark on the backburner to see if you’ll fix the glaring issues. i hope to see that you indeed do. Though if I’m being truly honest. I doubt you will. that’s why I’m issuing the challenge to surprise me by implementing my or better ideas.
Don’t worry, they have very competent people. If we’re having these issues its because they decided it would be more profitable. People paying for the game will be the last ones to leave and at this point there will be plenty of room and a full empty region to greet f2p. So its a safe bet their’re actually saving money.
He is absolutely right. Adding new servers are not fixing the issue. Personally if you guys (AGS) allow me to carry my account progression onto a new region, i’ll be there in an instant… But I’ve played this game since launch, everyday after work hours, and I really don’t want to lose all that progression that i’ve made that so far.
The chat thing is not really bothering me, i dont use the chat 80% of the time.
About the skin things: please do put in more of those. I’d love to see the selection.
How do you know level chat ingame restrictions do not work? I assure you they do work because you can create 5 characters in 10 minutes, no way in hell you’ll be able to level 5 characters in 10 minutes.
What would a newbie that knows nothing about game want to share with the whole world and not have it be irrelative, annoying, or spam? Shut up and play, you’ll talk later when you know what you talk about. For questions, use google.
Actual players don’t care about this, you’ll level to 30 in a day. But sellers, do care as they should.
Ay. but the mods don’t have to be in the chat 24/7. just more active. i’ve seen 0 mods in all the time i played since the 3 day head start.
also a system where mods get the reports so they can go investigate quickly is part of the idea. tho this system would probably have to be done by smilegate.
They don’t. because gold sellers will just use scripts to mass level up a bunch of accounts and use those to spam the chat. it slows them down A TINY bit. at best. and those lvl 30 bots? they are now poised to be in a lot of later areas. so the spam in those later areas increases.
as for new people. they want to socialise, talk to people. it’s a mmo for christ sake not a single player game. and not everyone wants to google. or knows how to effectively google their answers. so asking people in the game is often just more pleasant to do.
and you might not care about all this. but others sure do.
amazon did an awfull job as publisher, that’s a fact, just see how the game was in KR and how happy the community was.
I would love to see all those changes or at least the first two on the list and the moderators’ one. Also an apologize from ASG would be cool, I would just love to see them acknowledge that they messed up tbh lol
SA have no queued, all server status is good, and they keep Kazeros closed for no reason at all… have 15 days locked.
EU servers are all full, busy and broken, but if I wanna, I can creat a char there.
Kazeros have no queued since day 1, and its blocked for no reason. @Roxx say that the server is full, with a lot active and chars created, but I have friend playing there saying there’s no lag, no queued, nothing.
When you go to a support chat they don’t even know that the server is locked…theres a lot o print screen on the forum saying this.
The support told us to press the devs on the forum to have a solution for theses.
But we keep getting the same control c answer.
Sounds like you should probably head back to single player games…
There are plenty of reasons for lowbies to talk in area chat that are not “irrelative, annoying or spam”.
And where do you think all these speedhacking berserkers are coming from? Could it be that every farmer is now leveling up a character to 30 to get past this arbitrary limit of 30? By the looks of Salt Flats right now, it should only be a matter of hours before the gold spam continues in all the zones.
So no, the limit does not work. It just kills the vibe for other players. But you do you, boo.
I agree with everything except adding skins to the shop right now as there’s going to be even more hate shared with people thinking “oh look they can add more skins but they can’t fix the servers!”
