I made this account yesterday just to give my honest feedback on this latest roadmap, the fact that I’m trying here is already proof that I trust you AGS to make the right decisions, but with that said, this is definitely not what’s happening right now, in my honest opinion.
I’ve been playing this game everyday, I already have ~800 hours and never expressed myself about anything, but I think that this time it’s important to say something because IMO if there’s something that can really hurt a lot the player base is this drip feeding of classes, as an example if you decide to delay Valtan and other legion raids some ppl will be upset, that’s true, but they probably won’t quit the game over that because they are still having fun playing with the classes that they like and doing so much of the important horizontal content there is to be done(farming skill potions, stat increase potions, runes and etc.), drip feeding old classes as new ones on the other hand can really make people feel bad and uncomfortable playing the game with only alts, how do I know that ?! because I’m already feeling that way, this game that I love so much is starting to feel boring already, and don’t get me wrong here, I’m waiting for LM and Arcana, I want to know how both of them feel without massive ping so I can choose my main over the 2, so I’m not complaining because the classes I want are not being released soon, I think doing that would be selfish on my part simply because I care about this game as whole, I want it to have the largest player base possible, and above all I don’t want people that are enjoying the game since the beginning to quit because they are bored and/or because there is so much new content after months waiting for their classes that they will simply not feel motivated to do it !
I will probably have fun with LM when it comes out later this month but what about Summoner ?! what about Scouter ?! what about all the other classes that people: 1: don’t have any idea when they will come out, and 2: even if they knew, they would at least have to wait 2 months+ to play with the classes they enjoy, and in worst case scenario 8 months+ !
What I fear the most here is this bad decision making of yours in the long run…
Right now, none of this drip feeding of classes makes any sense at all, unless there’s a huge remodeling and/or rework on the missing classes, which I don’t think it’s the case since after this month’s balance patch in KR there’s not much that will change AFAIK, so what about the future ?! will we have other poor decision making on other content too ?! even if someone’s argument is that: “this is probably a business decision”, then it makes even less sense ! what kind of business want their customers to feel bored ?! or to rethink if they really should invest time and money on their service ?! because that’s what’s happening right now with this poorly made class release schedule!
Like I said before I don’t think that there’s anything that can hurt the player base as much as not releasing all classes ASAP, they are all already there and knowing of Amazon’s potential I really think there’s nothing stopping you from releasing all of them after any kind of little rework you guys plan on doing on them, in other words: it won’t take more than 2 months for a big company like yours to make small changes to classes that are already developed.
For now even thou I’m feeling pretty bored already I will try and hold onto doing horizontal content, and if I don’t like LM… well, I guess I will still try to hold onto the game as much as I can because I love it, but I don’t know if this will last, I don’t know if I can simply wait for whenever schedule you guys have in mind and don’t want to share and I don’t know if I wanna wait months for my other preferred class to be released either.
I hope I succeeded in my attempt to not be toxic to anyone and to give valuable critics and worthy feedback and I hope my feedback will be taken as an honest one, and maybe reach the right ears and things will change about this subject. Otherwise you will inevitably lose players because of this, and all of us will lose with less people playing the game.
