Can you give us some examples of cheaters who have been punished? Because I know about 15-20 HEAVY RMT players and I have seen exactly ONE guy get a 3 day ban…

This feels like a back stab i feel extremely betrayed by the one who is supposed to listen and pass what legit players want…
Why on earth would you defend RMTers with this quote?? they would be the only on fear your kigdom is burning to ashes and you allow people to burn every part of it instead of showing them what happend if they keep burning your kingdom.

It’s not only that the punishments are not severe enough - it’s quite clear that it has become public knowledge that there is a very LOW risk of getting banned when RMT:ing. Why do we know? Because we are actually playing the game and see people around us openly RMT:ing without ANY actions taken.
The worst part are the signals AGS/SG are sending by not even taking care of the low hanging fruit such as the gold-ads in party finder. When even such a small thing is not taken care of, how can anyone take you seriously?
permaban the rmters, you should be making them fear getting punished for ruining the game.
a kingdom shouldn’t be ruled through fear sure, but you also shouldn’t allow chaos with no enforcement of laws or rules.
having people being afraid of consequences of breaking the order is not the same as ruling through fear… we aren’t asking you to be a dictator, we’re asking for a perma ban on people that deserve it and an example to be made of them to show that this is not ok.
otherwise statements like this are going to just encourage more and more players to rmt until the game is dead.

I clearly do as many of the playerbase does… being proven to us countless times over the past few months that leadership is misunderstood by the company.
only 3 day ban first first offense just means you have to buy as much as you can the first time hence the retarded level 1 gem/acc prices
You don’t understand. They will never perma-ban RMT gold buyers. Why ? Because they are customers that we know are spending money for Lost Ark in-game goodies. The goal isn’t to push these people out of the game, it is to prevent gold sellers from providing theim supply of gold such that these RMT-Whale ends up buying in the official Cash Shop.
You can’t understand that I suggest you stop thinking about the bot/rmt problem.
There are only 2 things to do against BOT / RMT :
- Actively develop anti-cheat tools that can consistently detect and auto-kick (or ban) bots.
- Open court case against gold seller as they are doing criminal activities.
In case you don’t understand, even tho we don’t have KR gaming law in NA/EU, we STILL have laws especially regarding copyright and intellectual property. What gold/bot sellers are doing is probably going against intellectual property but even if it is not, it’s unfair competition law anyway. It means that SG can open a court case against ANY of these gold sellers, the biggest one usually, and they will most likely win because of case law basically. This legal question has been solved already in multiple case the most notorious being Activision Blizzard vs Bossland (the latest being the infamous provider for popular bot engine in WoW) where Blizzard won and Bossland lose $8.5m.
So yeah, the case law exists and SG needs to start pressuring Bot and Gold sellers around it. I’m not even sure they have to litterally go on the court, probably just a kindly threaten reminder on how it can ends up for theim (gold sellers) if SG decide to follow the legal path. Not to mention that the amount of people using RMT is directly increasing the “financial damages” bar from SG which directly increase the potential loss for Bot/Gold sellers. Not to mention that if they lose the suit case, they now owe the “damages” to the state not the compagny. If they refuse or cannot pay the damages, they will most likely will go to jail, because now they steel from the state, not the compagny. I think it’s enough troubles in perspective for theim to just avoid court case at all cost and is probably what will save us all, at the end.

Speaking about permaban buyers to show people “they don’t have to buy on illegal site” is NOT a fear campaign… it is just admitting that 75% bot 25% player is totally absurdly abnormal, and have to fight either bots BUT ALSO those who make the bots so profitting.
But no “players want fear campaign, they are bad” … fine to consider customers that still cares about the game being bad customers. And honestly, i am happy to be one of those “bad” customers…

Currently here is the reality : if insteaod of playing 3 hours a day in LA, but only 1, and work 2 more hours, and use money earned from those 2 hours into RMT, i would have from the money i earned, after taxes etc, still enough to buy around 30k gold… so, 5 days a week doing this, it would be 150k gold… i would have a faster game progress. ban me 3 days because of those 150k gold ? i am still more efficient this way…
The situation is this : currently, it is more efficient to work more and use money earned this way to progress, be banned a little, than playing the game in a fair way.
It will have one big result : lets imagine a day when you get rid of bots… people who cheated will be still rewarded for cheating… This is “your kingdom” : cheat, no problem, the punishment won’t avoid you to be more efficient this way

Enforcing law is necessary, unless all you want is chaos. Dictatorship is way more than just enforcing laws, and I have to reassure you, you are very far from it.
- Leaders should be feared rather than loved, “if you cannot be both”, in order to avoid a revolt
- Leaders should have the support of the people because it’s difficult to take action without their support
- Leaders should hold good virtues
- Leaders should be intelligent

You can sit there and tell us that you have people working around the clock on this problem but at the end of the day its still happening. Queues are getting worse. RMT is thriving. All you guys had to do was publicly announce a policy change and start banning players while beefing up on your detection. But you refused and now bots are so numerous that they are literally forcing real players out of the game entirely.
Any integrity this game had is basically gone at this point as a result of your weak handed policies. When I see someone walking around with a +25 weapon and a full set of level 10 gems I’m not thinking to myself damn he worked hard for that, I’m thinking wow I wonder how much this guy RMTed. That is just sad. I don’t know that it can ever come back from that. The damage is done and honestly every single day that goes by that you allow this to continue is a middle finger to the entire legit player base.
