My whole server Zoma seems to be nothing but bots. I’ve reported them but I’ve seen them multiple times for months now. Lvling alts is such a pain because they just pop up kill all mobs and vanish as soon as the mobs spawn again they take them out and vanish again you seriously can’t get a shot off.
Now I can overlook a lot of things but for me personally this is making not want to log on which sucks because I really fo enjoy the game

I suspect they are not just gold spammers now and the scripts are probably out in the wild. They really need to get this fixed asap.
My server (west us) is littered with them.

Steam says that only 4.3% of players reach ilvl +1300, so it is like 2.15% proportionally 
And there are folks asking for content to be force pushed asap

Hope so! This should be a top priority. Even more important than any new content. Now I understand even more why AGS/SGS decided to slow down releases.
That post was a month ago before they did the steam trusted status thing. Which achieved essentially nothing. Bots are even worse now, it’s like they all reached trusted in the last couple days and are basically DDoSing the servers with login attempts.
They will never ever get rid of bots in lost ark because this game was never designed with security in mind. In Korea you are required to tie your Korean social security number to your account so most players would never risk an account ban. They developed this game with client-side authoritative control which allows our client(s) to tell the servers what our characters are doing. This is a huge no-no in MMO games. Clients should be dumb and always should have to ask the server for permission to perform tasks. Anything done client side for performance reasons should be later sanity checked by the server to detect botting/hacking.
Amazon failed to realize this (willfully or not) and didn’t make account sign-ups with security or any kind of valadation method to make sure everyone is a legitimate player.
Unless they re-hook their entire game up to a performant server authoritative network stack (highlu unlikely) this game is always going to have 100,000s of bots running around. The cat and mouse games they are playing with botters right now will never work.

I have been stuck a month now in the same zone because it’s nothing but bots and I can’t progress. As soon as the mobs spawn they poof up and one shot everything before you can even blink. What’s sad is they are already proving they don’t care. I’ve been reporting these same bots for a month now, posted vid and tagged them on twitter…nothing not a peep…just logged in and they’re still there. I don’t know what we as the player base are supposed to do. I feel like I’ve exhausted all efforts just to play the game. Sucks cause it was such a fun game!
Why not just have at least 1 employee literally sitting in game at all times, just banning instantly?
gotta multiply by the channels per server… it’s 99% bots at this point. just make a new char and level to 38. I encountered 2 players! 3 including myself, rest was bot. Zerkers and Sorcs mostly but also… Artillerists!

All they would have to do would be to sit in Prideholme and insta ban bot names. Non bot names would take 5 mins of watching them move. It’s one of two things - they either don’t have personnel ( too many moderators, small budget ) or they don’t want to do this.
Wonder if today was a milestone day of some sorts. I don’t remember when they had the steam trusted status but the bots have went from really bad to well I thought I knew what was really bad.
