Prices went up because the toad is gone and the bots can’t get the books from the bridge now. I got Grudge for 7k per book when the bots ran rampant on the bridge, plus I got super lucky with the mokoko gold island and I got 42k gold in two weeks.

I explain this to a friend not to long ago. One of the ways to fix the bot problem is to take the game off of steam. For every bot account created steam makes 5 dollars. So its not that AGS doesn’t want to do anything they cant control Steam who is very effing greedy… (Only time I would defend AGS so no worries!)

You are right. I had the pheons so it wasn’t much for me to get the rest of my stuff. I sat in the market all day and got all my pieces really cheap. My neck with poo quality will run me about 130k…
While the game is expensive, I have quit during the boom of the market where you could’ve made a shitton of money so I can progress life for about 3-4 months. I come back when Vykas released(June 30th), I only had a 1320 Sorc to my name. Since Vykas, I have a roster of 1507, 1503, 1500, 1460, 1460, 1445, 1445, 1415, 5/8 of them are 5x3 with meta builds. 5 of 8 characters are lvl 7 gems, the rest are level 5 gems minimum. 2 of these characters are perma rest for fun and I had just made the 1415 character 2 days ago and they are very close to 5x3. I think majority of the community doesn’t know how to assess how to make a build and lock themselves to expensive engraving combinations and also wanting great quality.
If I had made a summoner(which i ran into similar with arcana release since Im an arcana main), I would use a legendary piece and be 4x3 +1 until I buy books and prices go down, but no, people want to try to be 5x3 day 1, which is giga expensive and not good for any budget. The build that I made(just yesterday) was for a Wardancer which required me to have 1100 swift and 1000 spec(without bracelet), which requires pretty high quality. I was able to spend 60-65k(including pheons) and all I need are a cheap class book to hit 5x3. so 80-90k for a meta build that I will keep for a very very long time(Swapping to ancient gear immediately is gigabait and is not needed for one lvl 1 engraving)…
For stones, you need to settle on your rock till you have time to spend on it. 4x3+2 is still a great build and can do any content and i dont think it gets that gatekept unless its brel or cal which is community issue…
And idk what you mean by 4 weeks to make 75k??? You make 46,000 from gold from all of your characters doing raids. If you only use raid gold, it takes 2, but you have una gold, you can sell ghls(which are on the high right now), you will get more gold from auctions, etc. Chaos gate maps give gold because all the solars and honor shard pouches are tradable, gold islands… You can easily make that in a week, or find a better way to combine engravings with your accessories.
Anyways, no offense to the community, but majority of the people don’t know how to make builds for cheap and lock themselves into a bad combination which either doesn’t exist or is giga expensive. If you’re going to invest into something that big, anyways, that is going to be a permanent piece because you don’t need ancient accessories ever. So it’s a permanent piece especially if it’s an alt.
I’m f2p, and I think the market is expensive but doable if you know how to make gold. I don’t even flip accessories.

Are you playing tai? I managed to get 3 shock 5 accessories with 3 other good engravings for 10-30k each
I did manage to get 5x3 on my summoner with all high quality accessories but I got lucky and sniped a 80q class engraving ring for 120k
The problem is that master summoner is a S tier dps and its new, and the pet build is like a S- or A+ dps still. It’s the strongest class that was released in a long time. Everything is gonna be expensive for this class for a very long time.
Crit based SH and for a 5x3 i need around 200k gold for new accessories. I have my DI build, but i want to make a sec preset with PS. I never thought a non meta build would be this frikin expensive.

Every time I look at the market, I just leave in disgust. I will NEVER be able to buy even the cheapest item there. It’s ridiculous pricing.
I’m shock. I hardly play swift classes. My build was 220k with books. I already had lego adren.
This I agree with you on. I feel like my 8/6 stone helped a ton and did make my choice accessories a lot cheaper. So while 7/7 may be meta I will go for the weird stones from now on end… 
AGS can “fix” this problem, but itll piss off a lot of the player base.

I wouldnt mind a slight higher drop rate for class engraving pieces that’s for sure but don’t make it too damn high either!
alright look, lately i’ve seen a lot of threads about people struggling cuz its either their gear or they are getting gatekeep because of their class. My opinion is… stop trying to blend in with that 30-40% of people that require stupidly overgeared chars or meta classes. “Don’t sell your soul” for being accepted by people who don’t deserve it, go through the game at your own pace, play what you like, how you like. The simplest answer is if you don’t have the required gear to go to a raid it usually means that you shouldn’t be there, if you are getting gatekeeped by dumbos with UFO demands, just dont bother joining them… more than half of the community is in the same boat as you.
If you’re gonna try to be “meta” you will burn urself out most likely… and /or you still start hating the game. There’s literally no point in rushing, what do you think is gonna happen after Brel? are the skies gonna open up to you? or will someone build you a statue? …nope, one month earlier or 2 months later, its the same for everyone, no more content.

Just to give some idea of how much gold players (whales) have, I was in a pug brel group with some whales and the box on each gate were bid on for up to 70k on each gate.
Agree with most of your post, but it’s a fact that if you don’t conform and go meta/overgear, you will spend more time in party finder. Game is designed to encourage swiping to meet the ilvl/engravings/etc to be accepted into parties.

And how often you get items that go for serious gold and how big is price for phens in most transactions?
Eventually we will reach that so called “end game” which in my opinion is when we are sort of caught up with korea, and we will get an update (content update, not new classes cuz thats not content) once a year. Trust me when I tell you this, you do not want to reach that point of the game while being mentally exhausted cuz of the effort to reach that point or even worse getting there while playing a class you dont like, because it was easier to find parties… its gonna be horrible, most people that played MMO’s know this. So play what you like, make youself comfortable, dont overgrind … the game aint going anywhere and eventually your class wont matter cuz people will be overgeared and used to mechanics and they will just want the legion raids to be done as fast as possible without waiting 4 hours in the lobby.
