Paladin Question - Counter Holy Sword

Hi All,

i am asking for your help :).
I am playing Bard Main and got an Pally as my Alt.

My Question is regarding the Counter Skill Holy Sword.
I got told from some guys ingame that i am totally useless because i am not hitting every counter because with holy sword it is that easy because it counters multiple? times.

I have to tried to figure out what they meant in the Training section and also by reading the different tripods, searching in YT and google, but honestly i dont get it.
Maybe it is also due to bad translastion (playing in german).

Can somebody please tell me how to counter with Holy Sword multiple times? Which tripod this should be, and how this is working? (if it is working?)

Is it more like a pulse, so you place it, it triggers ever 0.5 sec but just if the Boss/Target is still looking in my direction?

Or did i just got trolled.

Tripods that matter are outburst of light so that beam always comes out even if you dont hit anything with the initial short ranged stab. This allows you to counter from a range since the beam is what counters

Release light also important to get a small cd reduction.

Holy sword is a good counter because it has a ok delay but massive range and multiple counter boxes

Holy Sword is an easy counter skill because all those hits that come out of the skill work as counters but since the skill animation is a bit slow, you have to time it so you press the skill before the counter phase comes.
Valtan Ghost phase for example, you know you will have to counter the ghosts so you can press the skill slighty before the ghost turns blue.

My impression is the important part is the “outburst of light” giving large area hitting from distance.
Then I am not sure if Stigmata counts for countering with the duration after.

Stigmata is just for extra dps. Does not have counter frames

Ok about stigmata just being separate effect.

Will add I like Executor’s Sword more my self.
With shorter cooldown, multi-hits (and destruction).

If i now get it right:

This Skill has multiple “Hit Boxes” due the the longe Range. (no Matter where the boss is in this Animation) but this skill does not Counter multiple times?

So it like with every other char, just the Timing Matters.

yea there’s nothing about this, you just counter the boss and move on.

and yea, you can also use Executors Sword too, I use both of them just in case i feel like i will miss Holy Sword since Executors Sword counters faster

i know how counter works in general, this was more like some ingame trolls where angry because i missed some counters.
And the Massage was like, how can you fail a counter by having a skill that counters Multiple times. And i coulf not believe this massage because this would be OP :).

But for me this is now clear and the question is answered.
