Patch with Brel and new honing mats tier

hi,

so with brel there will be new tier of mats introduced. and therefore the current prices of T3 mats will drop (GHL and guardian/destro stones). you can also look up the korean market prices via google.

my question is- if you want to make gold with selling the new tier mats- the only way to do so is to bring your chars up to 1490 for new chaos dungeon/guardian raid, right?

there will be a transfer npc with a 5:1 rate, but the transferred mats will be bound, right?

and then the other question- would it make more sense to push some alts to 1490 until brel release, to be able to farm the new mats directly, or- to wait until the current T3 mats will be very cheap and push then?

Push as many to 1490 and buy out pirate ship vendors when it launches.

Pretty much yes to all your questions. If you really wanted to game the market and make a mountain of gold then having as many characters at 1490 post Brel patch is the way to do it.

Have an absolute monsterious amount of mats right now to convert to hone your main and sell every single mat you generate from that point on. It’s also why the Brel Cheese is such a good option.

i mean why don’t you just focus on pushing a character to brelshaza so you can experience the fight and have fun fighting a very complicated and engaging boss

instead of you know… doing all that work for a few gold coins

I mean, you can push a character and experience a fun fight while also making extra income, to push additional alts to also experience that fight.

Why and how is it a mutually exclusive proposition?

you are making your goal to make money
you are not making your goal to experience the fight

push 6 alts to brelshaza thats your choice
make money as much as you want thats your choice

but if you set your priority to make money you’d be 2 weeks after brelshaza on the forums ranting for new content

it’s not like we don’t have countless topics here about people speed running for arbitrary optimization burning out and writing a 100 page essay how this game sucks

meanwhile they have 8 1460 characters farming vykas hard on day 1

like if your mental is made of steel and you are so balls deep into this game you do you
but this is not sustainable

i’m just suggesting to reconsider your goals even if the end point remains the same

go to 1490 for your personal experience with the game
not some arbitrary number

im just thinking of the new sweet spot for alts- for now its 1430/1445, but when brel comes out, i mean- not a small part of gold income via unbound mats will be through the new honing mats.

so right now- if i park my 5 gold alts at 1445, then i can just sell all unbound T3 mats or keep them for converting 5:1 with brel.

if the new parking spot will be 1490, then i would get much higher value from selling new unbound mats (the only “loss” here will be argos gold and factor “time”, as you will need more time to clear kakul/brel than argos on alts)

and- im not sure how the kr/ru players are doing it- do they keep their 5 gold alts at 1445(/1460)?

depends on how much you swipe. Having alts chilling at 1430 is enough. Having alts to 1490 will help lot more but pushing them there will require a lot of gold/swiping
