PC Hard Resets on Game Launch

I’ve had no issues with the game at all until this morning. Every time I try to launch the game, during the Easy Anti Cheat splash screen, my computer hard resets. The only difference is the maintenance and windows 11 had an update overnight… I’m sure it’s windows 11 causing the issues but would like any help I can get.

EDIT2: I was able to log into the game, but the PC still hard resets after a few minutes in game. I’ve had to restore my PC to a previous build.

I had a very similar issue.

I had to remove and reinstall easy anti cheat to fix it.

Others say it´s enough to delete the anticheat.sys … this didn´t work for me.

@Brankets, we still do not recommend to play the game using Win11, due to flaws within the EAC, but as you have it already installed, I would advice to troubleshoot and reinstall the EAC, so, please follow the bellow steps:

  • Check for pending BIOS updates.
  • Check all drivers are up to date.
  • Run a file check: Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files
    (Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files)
  • Check the EAC: Locate the game directory, and then select the “EasyAntiCheat” subfolder. Click EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe to run the installer as an administrator, fix it if necessary.
    Note: The Steam Games installation directory will generally be in: C:\Program Files\ Steam (x86)\ SteamApps\ Common
  • Avoid using VPN, and you should remove other programs such as bots to farm or to avoid being AFK. (if installed for any reason).
  • Check out Lost Ark System Requirements - Support | Amazon Games
    (Lost Ark System Requirements - Support | Amazon Games) it is recommended to use Windows 10.
  • If running Discord, run Discord As Administrator as well.
    After all steps above:
  • Shut down the computer completely. Turn it on, then run the Steam client as administrator, Discord as Administrator and try the game again.

After troubleshooting, if the problem is still there, we can only advice you to go back to Windows 10.
