And I love it The game is finally starting to weed out all the non-dedicated people people who didn’t realize what they were getting themselves into yet thought they were some kind of elitist and then when things are actually getting rocky they’re quitting now the Amazon is actually banning RM tears now and so people can’t cheat to progress their account and it’s very obvious the people who have been rmt because they’re either quitting or they don’t have anything to push their account
Yes before long it will just be you and the dedicated 42 other players sitting around Punika telling stories of bots and nubs in yoho.
Hello ??? we will be in elgacia by then, get your facts right.
This game cant survive without the casual crowd, but once people understand this, they will be all by themselves.
actually no, lost ark can be supported by a very small number of players compared to most games. thats why the steam charts don’t really bother me.
‘‘finally starting to weed out all the non-dedicated people’’ …
delusional or in denial … seems like 99% of the player base was ''non-dedicated elitists" ![]()
Things were ‘‘rocky’’ since launch and never got better and that’s why game is pretty much dead with hardly 100k with bots, sad but you have to accept it.
When everyone leaves maybe its not the people… maybe its the game.
Mate, this post isnt great.
Toxicity, not realising the game is for you, taking ones own advice, being “non-dedicated”, being elitist, cheating… every single one of these is mutually exclusive, not co-dependant. You express them all like they are implicitly hand-in-hand. they’re not.
Its just a game, enjoy it (as you should) or move on (as you might too), its not more than that.
That is true, since the game is not in active development for NA it can survive with nobody playing it, so long as SG wants to keep the servers up.
The quality of life on these servers might be terrible, but that’s nobodies concern.
The problem is that the game will weed out all the dedicated players too with time.
The game is really harsh with new players when we talking about currencies. They will reach T3 fast without gold, silver and pheon and they will quit the game because they cant do anything without the currencies. They cant use AH, cant do honing.
So we will lose the veterans and the new players too and the game will just die.
why hasn’t it weeded you out then? if you were dedicated, you’d have a roster that actually benefitted from RMTers existing rather than being on the forums crying about it
Lol people calling this game dead is so cringe
I never ever was unable to complete any activity due to lack of players, let it be that little co-op activity on a island in the corner of the map or a guardian raid
all I see are people who had lost ark as their lives for the past 6 months and now quiting after whaling their own character instead of enjoying the end game
most people just rushed to dailies and raids skipping all the great content this game has the offer and then come here to cry about lack of content in august
I think you are very confused. “Non-dedicated” players and “elitists” are two different types of gamers, and the non-dedicated left the game long ago.
Or ppl like you who stay on the forums just to doomsay lol instead of moving on lol. Like honestly why do you ppl stay on the forums just to feed into toxic behavior and what not. Like i get wanting to make a difference in being CONSTRUCTIVE but the majority of you ppl aren’t the majority of you ppl just go from doomtopic to doom topic feeding into it not offering any suggestions because you’re in the wrong forum anyways for that but you just feed more n more into talking negative lol. Like are yout hat bored?
Ok for one, yes I am that bored. Halfway through the un-check and re-check all the checkboxes for the day.
For another, i’m not Doomday’ing anything. It’s not my fault the only topics on the forums these days are Doomsday topics that I could throw a little sarcasm at.
you seem to have the idea that the players base dropped in august … fam people started leaving from argos and keep leaving, most people didn’t rush sh*t most people saw what the game is for real and they didn’t like it, especially considering the non-stop mistakes from SG/ags.
btw what engame ? legion raids ? remove that what you have ? a mobile game with extra steps … its a repetitive grindy p2w game and that’s why almost everyone quit.
Game has flows, agreed, alot of bad design, pheons are crap, too much timed content I agree
but its alot fun, theres also alot of great design in the game, for example roster progress, rest bonus
what else do you want besides raids? what WoW has to offer? you have GvG, PVP arena, islands content, the games out for half year theres more to come
dont get me wrong there is alot of shit in the game, but its still better compared to 90% of garbage mmos out there
The game is amazing, but the decisions are based around maximizing profit not maximizing product.
This works with a large audience since you’ll always continue to bring in a good flow of income, especially in a dedicated crowd who have been with your game since it’s launch.
It works far less when that product is dropped on a new audience who have no history with the game and are then fed bits of it slowly over time. People get fustrated.
WoW has an open world that you at least had some reason to explore. It had world bosses that required some level of organization. Retail WoW maybe not so much as Classic but you get my meaning.
LA is a one and done attitude. You can only clear each island once, you only go to an adventure Island for it’s soul/map, once you get the drop from a Field Boss you never go there again. There is zero reason to hang out on a map in game for open world content.
Also T3 totally did away with Island Exploration. There is what… 4? T3 Islands. Once you hit T3 the game just becomes repeat your daily loop for resources, hone those resources and kill a weekly legion boss. That’s the entire gameplay loop. There is no reason to communicate with other players, no reason to visit places because something is happening unique to the server because of player activity.
Everything is mobile like in it’s schedules and time gates here.
The difference between LA and say WoW, NW, FFXI, FFXIV, GW, etc is that there is purpose to being out in the world in these games. The only reason to be on the sea is for Sea Chat, the only reason to goto a zone is for it’s scheduled event that requires no challenge or thought process, just zerg down X thing then leave after getting the loot.
I’m not saying other MMOs don’t have this same problem, very few are open world in that there is purpose to going out of town, especially once you hit end game. Just that LA it’s been like that since you finished the story 15-20 hours in, where in more traditional MMOs it only gets like that thousands of hours in.
“very few” highly disagreed
I had almost 500 hours before creating my first alt, I was doing side-quest and island, and I still havent done all quests in the game
I can’t believe that someone would use apostrophes and be completely ignorant to the existence of commas and periods…
I’m not saying everything is bad, but the bad is really bad. Are there good designs in the game? sure plenty but as we can all see its not that good to keep people invested.
Imo if SG/ags actually did a good job with the updates and didn’t try to drip feed everything, we could have potentially 200-300k players. We can blame bad game designs but for that many people to leave… it’s clear to me a big part was on SG/ags.
