People keep posting incorrectly about the punika powerpass situation being clear

I just saw one of these complain threads pop up again and like in all others, this argument keeps repeated over and over.

Second, the glorious patch notes everyone like to talk reading about, without actually knowing them in detail. Protip: there’s more than one patch notes to read. Spells in Spades Release Notes - News | Lost Ark - Free to Play MMO Action RPG

With the Punika Powerpass, you’ll receive Item Level 1302 gear. This is an event Powerpass that expires on September 28.

This was the ticket expire date, and this was the first punika powerpass. No idea if the ticket expired since most people probably used it, getting the actual powerpass on server selection screen.

The actual powerpass expired October 26, along with the second punika powerpass. But the topic is about information we had at hand, prior to October 26. It did not expire September 28 as claimed by patch notes, and multiple times repeated by CMs.

Any reasonable person would have then thought, that the expire date is only for the ticket item, as it also displays the same date, and as the actual powerpass from server screen, didn’t expire. It was also very repeatedly told by CM that this first punika powerpass would expire on September 28 update. Again, it initially applied only to the ticket item.

Now, even though I’m active here, the forum is messy and full of same topics being recreated all the time. Was it claimed by the CMs later on, that the powerpass should have expired on September 28, and that it’s continued existence is an error to be correctly later? I didn’t see such, but if you did, correct me.

People have claimed that players who lost possibly only the second punika powerpass, had the information that it would expire on September 28. No they did not as the given information was not consistent on how things actually worked after updates.

This is kinda the worst thing. Regarding first punika powerpass, ingame ticket says it expires on X, but once consumed it claims it doesn’t expire. Patch notes and CM say it expires on X, without any any stance on if this is the whole powerpass, or just the ticket. In actuality, it expired a month later of X. That’s the least expected result! Ooh so the first punika powerpass expired when the second punika powerpass was said to expire, and also did expire. Yep, but prior to it actually happening, there was no info, nothing to even guess about.

I used my both punika powerpasses which are great help as you will very fast run out of easy Punika KT you can do without, manually doing Punika, which with other quests gets bothersome.

We should have far more consistent and dependable information, and we should not blame other players for things they have no reasonable expectations of.

I’m sure this confusion comes from many players using their first punika powerpass before it expired, so not everyone had the oppoturnity to actually see it not expiring. I only used it later when we had server merges as before that, I already had a full T3 chars, and I was able to create 6 more chars as I was on a merging server.

Wait the arcana power pass expire October 26 ?

I’m confused or are you saying the ticket say it expire September 28 but if you use it and didn’t use it on a character is expire October 26 ?

They extended it to expire at the end of october.

Was this extension mentioned here by CM?

@Somnus
Yep both Punika powerpasses expired October 26. The first ticket probably expired Septerber. Hard to know since you’d have to not use it, to know.

The older one was supposed to expire earlier, as per those earlier patch notes.

I can’t imagine crying this much over something that was FREE. If they took your paid power pass I’d raise hell with you but you guys didn’t read that the pass expires AND ITS FREE. That’s on you, stop making these threads

The solution is really easy, power passes should only have expiration date to claiming them, once you consume them it shouldnt expire at all, since not every class release comes with a powerpass, every player should be able to decide how and when to use it. It is simple as f.

Sorry to ask this in this topic, but it’s related.

Just to be sure, if i used my powerpass on a character already created, i’ll be able to choose reaper when it’s out right ?

The game is free. How will you feel if they deleted one of your character?

People here just wanted them to give correct information. It is extremely important to do so on all aspects.

A company cannot said one thing and do another. Or misinformed their playerbase. They need to be hold accountable and not do it again in the future.

For some odd reason, white knights like you will rather attack the player and give the company a pass on giving out misinformation or conflicting formation. It is very odd.

That’s not really what the issue is though. Some classes get released with a power pass and an express event. Others don’t. So when the power pass expires before the next class comes out (and that’s the one you really wanted to play) while others got to express their new character for free you’d have to pay for the same treatment. That’s what’s broken about it.

It’s more like stop replying without even reading.

This post was exactly about the nonsense you and your kind wrote about the powerpass above.

This is the first thread I’ve seen about it. Clearly many more reminders are required.

What you meant to ask, yes the effect the powerpass causes to a char, will remain on that char forever. It only needs to be applied and then it’s done and the powerpass is gone, rest can be finished later.

It’s the same with the people who bought powerpasses before Machinist when we were suddenly surprised with a free powerpass

And those people demanded refunds for being “scammed”

Nothing to see here really, another trap thread of people parroting the same one thing over and over

It helps them feel better, I suppose

refunds for “scammed” on a free power pass?

On the passes they bought, because people bought a pass before the patch notes came out and with a “surprise! Machinist will be given a pass due to the outcry for it”

People made threads saying they were “scammed” into buying a pass right before, even though for every class the announcement of a pass has been given on the patch notes before

Did it suck with the timing? Yeap, agree

Did they get scammed? Nope, should have waited

Nope, they clearly stated that the machine class won’t be getting a power pass. And they were discounting the power pass at that time.

So, player buy the power pass for the discounted price. Then, the class released and it comes with the power pass; hence, player feel they are being cheated out of their money.

Learn the history before you type something you know nothing about, next time

“No plans to release” does not equal “will not be receiving one at all”

I know what I’m talking about, I read things

And the only reason passes were discounted was because they couldn’t release them when planned, because, cough cough, gold sellers and credit card fraud

Which led to, guess what, a sale on passes to make up for not having them at the proper time

Which means that if they were released as planned without those credit card shenanigans, there would have been no discounted passes in the first place

Man 2/2 today, I love it

You should read what was said and not just repeat what’s not right. It was said, that at the moment no powerpass was planed. This is not a total no. It just says that was no info at this time.
And the powerpass was discounted because they had to be deactivated cause they where abused by bots.
Two complete different topics mixed up on twitch, youtube and reddit etc.

This makes 0 sens in my eyes what you said… at this point we got for every class release a PP or a event… If you wait for reaper then on release you know you will get a PP or a event to catch up… So why let a PP expire if you know that?? And even if not getting a PP and just a event… we have knowledge tranfer in the game. so you dont need to spend money to get into T3.

I think what happened was that SG learned from their mistake when not giving Destroyer a power pass

I think they expected NA and EU to pay a lot of money to get Destroyer up (like KR would have done at that point) but it backfired tremendously

See now how we’ve gotten an event as pass with every release, the most recent one being given the day before as a surprise due to the outcry for one

I’m thinking this will be the trend (since our version has been out for less than a year so most people won’t be hoarding, let alone buying stuff they need) up until Artist / Aeromancer just to help try to boost player numbers

Once we catch up with KR though, completely different ball game
