It doesnt have to be a lot a simple auto clicker or macro is actualy not allowed … Those things alone might get u banned even if u yourself think its not cheating … The devs think differently

A lot of innocent people got caught up in this banwave, myself included. I hope Amazon can improve their cheat detection but more importantly, their customer service. It’s quite disappointing to get perma-banned for no reason and when you try to appeal, their replies are just automated and don’t cite anything specific to their claim. I don’t think people will ever know what they were flagged for. Just another false-positive on their end. What’s sad is the forum trolls will just continue to say stuff like “you shouldnt have botted/RMT-ED”. Lol wait til it happens to you and have to go through the BS we innocent players have been through.

I think there might be benefit to those banned if you start listing what hardware you’re using, specifically keyboard and mouse. Do you have any macros setup?
You know thousands have been wrongly banned by mistake right? I know because I was one of them. Amazon said I refunded one of my founder packs which I never did, and it took a month of me sending bank statements, talking to valve to provide proof of purchase and AGS was completely useless during the entire process, they told me they were in the right and that the ban would stand.
Until one day, I got an American yes an American Agent, because most are off shore in the Phillppines and barely speak English. And he grabbed all my forums posts evidence etc then lifted my ban. It was a huge invasion of privacy, and missed out on 30 days of gameplay for a mistake AGS made. and I was not alone there were thousands just like me.
i love how they simply say you did indeed cheat
but they have not really any idea what you actually did. They want your proof but dont proof their own facts. clowns
“Here all of my personal information, let me play this game”… later on… “they invaded my privacy!”
You obviously are too ignorant to know how it works. No you request your data from Amazon which they already have. Then you appeal and guess what for those of us with a commerce lock, their response was well get us your bank statements that show the charges and you didn’t refund anything, along with with a statement from valve then we can look into your ban.
In my case I have already spend about $2,000 in the game, why would I not try to get my account back? A valve bank statement should have been enough.
Yes because AGS has NEVER falsely banned anyone in the history of any of their MMOs…

They have a very serious problem in that their automated systems frequently do more harm to legitimate players than they do to actual cheaters/TOS breakers.
Its pretty easy to sit in judgement of others but when it happens to you I’m sure you will end up responding in the exact same way 90% of these falsely banned players responded after getting their appeal denied for the 10th time. Go to the forums for advice and pray that a CM takes pity on you and elevates your ticket so you don’t have to spend another 2-3 weeks appealing to support staff who legitimately do not give a flying rats ass about customers.
That’s called “forfeiting” your information, no one made you give it to them. If you didn’t want to forfeit your information, you should have contacted your bank and had them back charge. If you paid through credit card, they would go miles to make sure their customers are fairly treated.
It always fascinates me how people, especially those in the gaming community, are never satisfied. On the one side players are upset when it takes time to get players and bots banned but then also complain when they have been banned because of flags and most likely other players reporting them.

And doing a charge back would have also insured I never got my account back. And also get my steamed account banned in the process. I now because Valve told me this themselves.
Exactly it is the legitimate players that suffer, when you can basically get your friends to report someone you don’t like to get them banned.
Yet you have steamers who are cheating and streaming it, and yet do not get banned.
Yeah ive heard some nightmarish stories of people trying to get their accounts back after a chargeback. It can literally take years ![]()
Getting back to the issue at hand (instead of me derailing the conversation for semantics).
There is a good reason for not disclosing what they use to detect cheating/botting; they need to keep cheaters/botters from knowing what is being looked at. I’m not going to pretend to fully understand the why or how and I’m not going to pretend that they’re doing a great job, but its important to understand why they can’t provide evidence.
We can sit here and complain hoping they will fix the issues, but we can also provide more data to help correct the issue. I find it hard to imagine that they’re anti-cheat is just RNG, so there must be something happening to these false positives. Currently, I’m wondering about the use of macros built into keyboards and mice. A lot of people would assume this is cheating, but I would think it could and would be caught by an ant-cheat program as a form of botting.
I have been dealing with the same exact issue since 5/6 and have sent an appeal literally every single day since. There are also multitudes of forums post with people experiencing false bans as well. It’s dumbfounding to see more and more of these post pop up daily with no help from AGS CM’s. You just tell us to appeal which obviously is not assisting resolve the issue. The people reviewing the accounts are not taking the time they need to review. I even have received 5 emails now saying Thanks for Contacting New World Support, so how can you tell me we are getting help when the auto reply is for the wrong game? Here’s a multitude of forums post with that issue as well. What the **** is going on?

I’m really sorry about the ban issue you’re facing at your account, we as AGS do our best to provide the best experience to our players and try to keep the servers clear of all kind of players or bots that might interrupt the experience at the game, this process is being held and conducted by a full team that review every report and proceeds to place the bans or disregard the reports.
Since this is a human based process there can be mistakes made and there are cases where a Ban can be revoked, just like @Drasa1514 showed on his post, many players have been banned and the ban has been revoked after they appealed, and that is the key, the appeal, when you place one and with the option that @alex33x shared, you can create a solid appeal and not a “complain” stating that “you didn’t do it” and nothing else like it can happen sometimes.
You all can make sure that every ban and every appeal is reviewed by a team specialized in the subject, sadly due to the security protocols this team is not allowed to share further details related to the ban reason other than the one you will see on many posts like the one @Crimson100 made.
Additionally if you are banned and you consider that this is unfair go straight to the ban appeal, we at the forum nor the live chat team can review anything related to bans so please make sure you go through the appeal process first.

I’m glad to hear now you have a human team that looks at this reports or suspicious activity. Because the automated system obviously did not work, and was banning players who did not deserve it.
@Wyvernn But what about those of us who know we haven’t done anything listed the entire day worth of events leading up to the ban, but yet are still receiving the same response as @Crimson100 . If we cannot get the exact reason of the ban what else can we provide to help prove the case wrong? I have told them literally everything I traded b/w my main and alt and so on to no avail, but still nothing.
