Pheons will be your downfall and possibly Lost Ark killer in NA

I make ~32k/week solely from argos, valtan, vykas, and weekly una’s… on 3 of my 11 T3 characters. If we add in the gold made from the random accessory and material sales throughout the week, 60k isn’t a whole lot. You must be playing the “I’d rather sit in Punika talking in area chat” version of the game, because everything mentioned above only takes me ~5-6 hours/week. Nevermind the other characters that are pretty much just funneling mats to the AH.

The game isnt going to die, stop it. Honestly TLDR.

if you’re a casual player, how are you running out of free pheons?

I can see how new players might need some help but def not casual daily players

The price might go up. But nowhere near the prive of 25 pheons. Look, its simple economics. Right now people dont put up items that arent near perfect because they dont sell. I would use a 3 raid captain 5 disrespect item if it gave me more damage and was half the price of a 3 grudge 5 cursed doll. Why? Because having that extra engraving is better than having nothing. Right now its either pay 60000 gold for one accessory or dont grt anything at all. If people didnt have to pay pheons they would be much more likely to buy the less used engravings. This in turn causes more items and options on tje market causing prices to go down (Demand would go down supply would go up). The perfect items will still be expensive yes, but at least you wouldnt have people with 2x3 instead of 5x3. They would do more damage and overall the whole game would benefit from people doing more damage.

Casual players are still using legendary accessories by now some even relic.
Being a casual player aswell I’m sure they are pretty good at wasting pheons.
Do you think casuals just log on to collect mokokos?
Were not given an abundance of them like we did at the start of na.
RU just casually gets them with aura btw.
You personally think pheons is a good thing?
It definitely does not stop flipping accessories especially if someone not knowing the value throws one up cheap.
Its literally a cash grab for people not able to earn gold like myself for example who can generate 50k plus a week.

So you’re a casual but you have the demand/gold deficit as a typical gamer who is playing significantly more than you, is this your conclusion?

Where did I say I’m a casual? Reading comprehension?
I’m 1485 1445x3 3x1415 and a 1385 with over 2k hours I’m a little beyond casual.
Tho I definitely understand people struggling with pheons.
All my characters are 4x3 and my main is 5x3 0 rainbow.
It’s just nice to put yourself in others shoes occasionally instead of being so closed minded on something.
Just because you or myself do not struggle with pheons doesn’t mean others don’t.

Do you actually think we’re talking about you? or are you just this lost?

Use your brain for 2 seconds.

This entire thing about pheons was/is never about pheons, it is about people wanting more gold to buy things they can’t afford to begin with.

Pheons are a scam but they are not going anywhere. Sure BIS accessories would go up in raw gold cost but having no pheons or much lower pheon cost would make it reasonable to not have to buy the perfect quality bis accessory but instead get a middle of the road accy that can do the job on an ALT. But this is all a pipe dream unfortunately. However, the pheon cost for sending to YOUR OWN ROSTER is robbery. If I want to gift something for a irl family member but the government made them pay X amount of money for me to give it to them there would be revolts worldwide. Nobody can justify pheon cost for sending accys to alts. That’s ridiculous.

It doesn’t matter what it is, it is here and we have to deal with it. Everyone has to, so making exceptions or complaining about it is mostly irrelevant (you can complain, but it’s irrelevant, etc.).

The topic isn’t about how ethical pheons are, it’s about how people somehow can’t play the game with pheons.

+1

The game has a great ability to front the illusion of your time being respected, systems like pheons directly insult the users time sunk into the game.

And then there is people “WhY aRe My YoHo RuNs TaKiNg So LoNg”… Because nobody can afford more than 2x3 on their alts unless they whale or all of their alts already can do Valtan + Vykas for more gold.

I also want to gear my main towards 5x3 but how can I do that if the Pheon cost for relic accessories is like 3x my weekly income with 5 tier 3 characters while I am also supposed to hone towards new content, gear my alts, hone my alts…

Items cost less with pheons than they’d cost without pheons. Even factoring in selling items at higher prices, you’d have less buying power assuming you’re the average player.

People rage against pheons because they’re trying to buy things they don’t have the in-game wealth for. Plan better, play the game, etc.

3x3 is practically free, roll 1-3 ability stones, buy 0-2 <100g accessories with +2. You’re done with 3x3 after running oreha/argos for 2 weeks or so.

The stone strategy for 3x3 is get one to +6, you’ll probably get the 2nd to +4, and that’s good enough to only need 1 acc.

that is true, it’s a big investment but it can be very long term, something I truly like about lost ark

Other games stuff can be so short term… it feels good to be building a roster that will last months and even years

Quick fix would be to remove pheon cost from stones and keep it on other accs. Gems already don’t cost any peons and gem market is much more alive

Pretty sure its about pheona, but you gotta read my previous wall of text to understand my arguement lol.

You wont get into any groups at the highest content with non meta engravings - so in the scenario where you want grudge/cursed doll, the pheons help lower ur cost

If you are going non meta engravings, then just use ur free pheons on them, u can get it for like 10 gold

The pheon system is just another currency system.

1 pheon = 25g.
10g + 1 pheon = 35g.

People saying they can’t afford the 1 pheon is basically just saying they only have 10g, not 35g.

It is entirely about people wanting to spend more than they should when they can’t even afford the 35g item. If an item was flat out listed for 35g… you would still only have 10g not 35g.

Ah yes because if your remove the flat rate tax that doesnt even go to the seller , base line prices would surely raise!
