Phoenix Plume tooltip question

The Phoenix Plume tool tip says to “Right-click on the item to move it to the Roster Currency Inventory.” However, right clicking also seems to be how you use the item.

I’m confused to how this works, where is the Roster Currency Inventory? It seems to be different than the Roster Storage as my Phoenix Plume is not in there. Is this just a mistake in the tooltip and I just used a Phoenix Plume for no reason?

Look on the top left toolbar for the chest icon and click on that. that is where i found mine.

This is confusing me too.
So I have the Phoenix Plumes in my normal inventory. Am I supposed to right-click on them all to move them all to my Roster Currency Inventory (top left chest icon)?

Or am I supposed to leave some in my character’s backpack to use if I die?

As in, can my character still use them if they’re all in the Roster Currency Inventory?

Yea, I’m not 100% clear on that either. But I did verify that when you right-click them they go into the inventory in the top left toolbar like @tahansp7 said.

Maybe “using” them (i.e. right-clicking on them) is meant to just send them to the Roster Currency Inventory. To activate its effects, you don’t use them, it automatically gets decremented when you decide to revive.

Yeah right clicking them adds them to your roster currencies, and from there any of your characters can consume them to resurrect. I’m not sure if they can be consumed from your inventory to resurrect.

It’s a bit of a confusing system. But I’ve found no downside to just immediately right-clicking them when I receive them to add them to roster currencies. Maybe if you were planning to do a server transfer or something you might not want to? But not even sure about that.

Exactly. I wonder why the developers didn’t make it so that it goes directly to your currency at pickup, like silver. Will keep this thread open and update if we find a downside to sending them to currency right away.

There’s a thing that I read about that apparently developers consider which is “weight”, which means, how much perceived value something has.

Basically if you make things too automated, people stop caring about and valuing the thing you’ve automated. Think about how much you “value” and notice gold drops in an arpg. Not very much right? Part of that is because the “weight” of gold drops is low because the effort required to collect and use it is almost zero. If you want to increase the “weight” of an item you actually want to make the process of gaining them less convenient and streamlined, weird as that might sound.

So perhaps that’s part of the reason you have to click them at least once, it adds “weight” and thus perceived value to them when you get them.
