Please adjust player hit box

I come from 10+ years of raiding in FFXIV and well…Lost ark has me getting hit by nearly everything because of it.

What I mean by that is in FFXIV the hit box is so clean you can stand with your tippy toes on the edge of an AoE and not get hit by it.

But in lost ark, you have an invisible ring around your character that is the hit box. Instead of your character itself. Making it hard to judge if you will be hit by something or not.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Adjust the hit box of the player, Please wrap it tight around them and not be lazy about it and just make them circles.

It would make raiding SO MUCH more clean.

An example of what I mean.

the Before is prob still have better advantage since the hit box is much smaller compare to the one after where her hit box with is bigger on the leg :stuck_out_tongue:

though to befair if they made changes to hit box out of all the legion raids it would mostly benefit clown g3 when doing curtain call the rest doesnt seems to have much of a big impact

That is a different game that I was referencing how the hitbox went from circle to character wrap.

In lost ark your feet do not pass the invisible circle, currently the invisible circle extends further than your feet reach while running. Which is exactly the problem, the circle hitbox is LARGER than the player currently.

well it has its good and bad i guess, because if the hitbox is wrap around you and your armor it would be super bad for characters like gunlancer, zerk or classes that have bigger weapon / costumes , its essentially worse for those and only benefit classes that are smol and have smol weapons

like imagine a gunlancer in g3 after the hit box changes? its gonna be much more annoying to deal with

Even in FFXIV weapons arn’t included in the hitbox.

Body only.

Like I said the circle is larger than the body, which warrior bodies already have to deal with? lol

well not in some other games like moba where the hero’s weapon is also a hit box

??? We are playing a mmorpg where you have to raid and dodge mechanics.

And when you can’t dodge perfectly because the hit box is inflated it makes it feel less clean than other mmorpgs while raiding like FFXIV and WoW.

again, this is only benefiting characters that has smaller body to the hitbox compare to characters that is more clunky and bigger than the current hit box

and MMORPG isnt the only game out there that requires dodging an attack

My Sorc has the same size hit box as a Zerker

Guess who had to learn how big their character actually was

Guess who also had to rage a lot when things hit and shouldn’t have

They’re both the same answer

The number of times when I thought I was safe just outside the edge of an attack but get clipped and hit.

In fairness, I don’t think there should be varying sizes of hitbox for different classes. But I wish there’s a way in the game for you to check the hitbox for your character so you know what you are dealing with in battle.

I prefer the before, but the problem is dash/movement skills
I’m pretty sure some of them look like it’s moving, but it’s actually just a teleport
And I get hit by things I shouldn’t because of this since you only teleport to the destination after the animation
This is the real issue

FFXIV’s player hitboxes are actually a single pixel located roughly in between their feet, so sometimes you can even have a whole foot in an aoe and not get hit. It was the obvious decision to not give an advantage to lalafel players vs larger races.

With the way Lost Ark’s models can vary, im surprised they haven’t opted for the same solution.
