I joined the game at the start and the populated servers were all busy for the first week so I’m in a low population server and it feels kinda lonely in t3 lately. For example I had to wait a few days to even find people to do 1370 ghost ship with after watching the entry 20 times. I’m on NA West which is the least populated region, so would be nice to be on Valtan or Mari at least

I can assure you EU west is by far the least populated server. It was basically made to solve the queue issues in Europe. It is going to be very interesting to see what happens in that region. Not only due to a low population but having to run a seperate data center for a very small number of players is not very profitable. Now merging world’s is easier. How they manage to merge 2 seperate servers …well it’s going to be an issue.
I play on SA-Gienah server and we are also suffering from this drop in active players. Our server hasn’t even killed Moake yet. The 1370 ghost ship only happens at a specific time of the week (sometimes we don’t even complete it). Many Adventure Islands are impossible to do because there’s not enough people.
This is all very demoralizing, and knowing that they still don’t even have that idea in mind is just sad. New world suffered from that same mistake and I don’t understant why they keep creating so many servers instead of few servers with increased player limit.

They can do free server transfer like they did with new world, guess it would be an easier solution for now. And maybe later they can start thinking on merging servers.
But all matchmaking and party finder is cross server ? Or is ghost ship different then abyss and guardian raids? Either way they will probably start merging servers once the game setles a bit more…
I think matchmaking is cross-server. But ghost ship, Adventure Islands and field bosses are not (I could be wrong tho).
Islands and field bosses are not region wide for sure , but i dont know about ghost ship it might be server wide only as you said
Tried to do Asura isle on Elzowin the other day 2 people were there, event didn’t even start because it needs at least 4 but it still burned my Daily. Server transfer please.
they wont. they literally said the way the game is built, it doesnt have the capability for region transfers which would be what is needed for eu west to eu central etc, hence why people had to start over in eu west
When you don’t finish ghost ships it will burn your Weekly too. This is so stupid, they should only count if you complete it. Don’t even know why they do this that way.
If they really said that it is very sad, because I have more than 500 hours played and I believe that many people who are on servers with low population also invested a lot of time and money.
It is also very likely that these servers will lose more and more players over time to the point where it will not be possible to make any more server-wide content that depends on other players to complete. And if I’m not mistaken, KR Lost Ark has a lot more content that hasn’t been released yet that is server wide.
Starting over on another server for me and i think for other people it’s just unfeasible, it’s better to stop playing the game.
They won’t, they can’t. And it’ll only cause more players to quit.
I mean maybe they can’t cross region because in KR they never had to worry about other regions but cross server… they’ve already done it in Korea. It was a one off thing and not a regular service but they’ve literally done it it’s possible.
What ever happens just to let people know there is a very big difference between can’t and won’t. People who say merging 2 different servers is impossible, well they don’t really know much about computers/servers. Is it complex yes, is it impossible? Anything is possible. I’m sure in regards running the EU west server for example on a data center in Dublin Ireland for a small lost ark population is not cost effective. I suspect its owned by Amazon but it’s server space they could be renting to another company. Also to point out like people mentioned there is content in this game where you need large groups to work together. As I said it will be interesting to see what happens.
Yes the issue has flipped 180 degrees from the long log in queues. So we do have a lot of dedicated players marooned on different worlds…just bringing them together solves a lot of issues.

Giving this a bump. Playing on a dead server is brutal. Two weeks in a row I’ve burned my ghost ship attempt because only two people showed up.
bad news dude, they cant transfer from a region to another, the only way for you to be where you want is to restart everything. And since they refuse to make the game good with that pathetic roadmap, you will be alone in your region soon
We got some sort of reply in a similar post. That they were experimenting with it. They just don’t have a switch/button on their side to do so yet like other mmos. Such a system would have to be designed and tested…so you are looking at months…years perhaps… unfortunately.
