The game is free, if you can’t enjoy something for free that costs multimillions of dollars to produce and maintain, and paid for by others… I don’t think it’s the right game for you.
Not sure how you guys were raised but I don’t complain about free stuff not being good enough. If I don’t like it, well shit, it was free anyways not like I lost anything.
So some guy on the internet paid $10,000 to get a relic set a month or two before you… you’ll never meet or engage with him IRL and his gigachad in-game abilities have no affect on you playing your game over and experiences over the next 2 months while you come to the same conclusion for free…
So now your gaming experience is ruined because you read about some guy you’ll never meet in person or likely in-game can do something on his game a little faster than you.

Your example would be only issue is if the game released a RAID specifically requiring that 10.000 relic gear. so that only that guy and 6 other whales could enter that raid.
Thats same thing with valtan.
But if they release a raid that a guy with legendary gear can enter and so can the 10k relic guys, there would be no problem.
If valtan requirement was made 1400, there would be no absolutely crying about it at all in the forums, but unfortunately current events do not promote us to 1415 and we will have 4 days to see what kind of events we are getting which should boost us to 1415

You quite literally explained it in your movie theatre rant…the FOMO experience and progression are just as strong commodities as competition.
For P2W, these attributes are focused on
- Fear of Missing Out (focusing on impulse control)
- Gambling and Heavy Amounts of Variance to do things
- Competition (Leaderboards, Limited Materials to fight over, etc)
- Progression (Unlocking and earning things to move forward)
- Power (Making your character/team stronger)
- All of these are P2W. All of them give you advantages over players that didn’t pay.
- A game is F2P friendly depending on how many of these things you can enjoy without paying.
- The moment things are paywalled or the gap is impossible to close or impossible to close without extreme luck, then it’s F2P unfriendly.

So on all honesty… a legitimate question
Why do you care if someone enters Valtan Hardmode and gets better gear before you… realistically the way SMG has been handling thus far, probably a month before you and has zero impact on your gaming experience.
Let’s say in two scenarios
First: It’s entirely equal playing field and he got their first but still has no affect on your gaming experience. Downside, because the game doesn’t generate revenue, you don’t get to play after next month and everything shuts down.
Second: He paid money through the games system to get there first and has no affect on your gaming experience. Benefit, because he paid money to get their first and generated revenue for the company, you get to continue playing for free.
In either scenario, there is no affect on your gaming experience other than you get to continue playing for free

For a legit question ill give you an legit answer:
Me and the F2P players do not care if you get your RELIC gear before us. The current problem is that F2P players can not reach even the 1415 req valtan that does not give any relic gear whatsoever.
The whole point is in this that whales can go do the hardmode as they pleases, but f2p has to have atleast access to the 1415 valtan normal mode and have means to progress further ahead, because brelzhasa, who also drops relic gear, should follow shortly after (she is 1430) . since relic content cannot be only gated for so long for the few whales out there.
You are talking people having issue of not getting to 1445, when they literally cannot even get to 1400 unless youre lottery-lucky at the current pace. Its understandable, you arent educated in this, but ill gladly explain some to you while im here.
I honestly don’t care about Valtan, I enjoy the game I play even if I’m doing the same content over and over.
I do know that Valtan isn’t end game and future content is even more F2P friendly than where we currently are, the faster we get there the more I’ll enjoy a friendlier F2P environment.
I also have no problem with someone getting to a raid before me because it has zero impact on my progression; there’s not a single thing a P2W player can do in game to diminish my experience at my own pace other than PvP islands where their gear isn’t equalized to my own. In that regards, it makes no difference because 3 star PvP rewards is like 100s more and a couple more providence stones.
I don’t NEED legendary engravings and BiS accessories because I have and can access all content available to me at all the stages I’m currently in. If a group doesn’t take me because I’m not a whale? I put and chill with some other krill in the content I need a party for and we make dick and fart jokes.
A whale can’t come find me and stop me from playing the game or kill me in open world PvP to then camp me for 5 hours… there’s no dps or healing meter for me to compare myself to or be shamed by others when experiencing content.
Hell I can watch EVERY CUTSCENE and make whales wait if I want, it’s not like they know it’s me watching because the game doesn’t say anything.
Point is, I get to enjoy the game I play without any influence from others and their ability to pay money for faster or better things.
I will have to 100% disagree that you “can’t” reach 1415 by Valtan release.
If you played the same as other F2P that put in more effort then you’d reach it with ease, if you utilized all your resources daily and utilized alts to fund a main, you’ll get their.
The problem I see is super casual people don’t like the fact that this game rewards both money and effort, so those people are upset they can’t jump head first into Valtan after not completing a single daily, upgrading their stronghold, completing all raids, islands, etc.
You see, you’re given the tools to accomplish it but you don’t want to utilize those tools and you bastardize those with more money or time that can access the content sooner than you.
If that’s the case, my question is, if you haven’t even experienced the meat of the game, the actual game itself and all you can do… whether you’re trying or casually don’t care to do it all, then why is Valtan even a concern to you?

there arent ‘‘supercasuals people’’ theyre normal people who have lives, they got family to feed, they got job to do, they got a life. If you can play 15 hours a day, sleep wake up and play again 15 hours a day, do not think that you are entitled to some extra care. As said before, paying gets you nice benefits, playing 15hours gets you also benefits like getting mokokos or igneas tokens faster or whatever horizontal content there is but that should be about it. (dear lord the consequences to your body though by playing 15h a day)
This game literally has REST systems in the raids and chaos dungeons for this exact reason. Because people have lives, they cant afford to sit 15 hours like you and play the game.
So this brings me back: playing 15 hour does not entitle you into reaching valtan any sooner than a whale does.
You can reach there somewhat faster that is alright, but if a guy who has life/work, things he must to do gets behind months on core-game content like raids because he cant afford to nolife? thats not clever since most of the players are like this who can manage to play 2-4h max a day. ---- and to add, thats why also events exist, for the people who cant play 15h a day, event is to boos them up too, not ofcourse the pace a 15h player can get, but still noticeable amount of progress.
Your biggest wrongs is that you assume so much, if you stopped assumin and payed attention, you would understand why even the devs mentioned the ‘‘possibility of delay’’ of valtan.

What is your thought process that makes you feel lesser or screwed over that others who work harder than you or paying to access content sooner than… or in some way or another contribute more than you do get to access content sooner than you?
Because that is the way this game is designed and the game gives you tools to horizontally progress at your own speed without any influence from others…
Third and last question
Why do you want to skip all the content this game has to offer, hardly play the game, don’t utilize any tools or resources you’re given and upset that you aren’t able to access content that is far beyond your current comprehension within the game you play? What’s the drive to skip everything?
Whales do it and I have the same question for them…. But they pay to skip everything and it’s what funds me being able yo play the game.
You’ll get there eventually the same way you’re playing Zelda Ocarina of Time… you have to progress through the story and game design to eventually reach and defeat Ganon. When you skip the entire game, what’s your reasoning for even playing the game in the first place?
The Argos complaint was never about the dude that plays 2 hours a day lmao. It was mostly hardcore players doing 8-12 hours a day non stop since release but still couldn’t reach 1370 on Argos release because of bad rng. Those are players that had well over 500 hours a few weeks after release.
Nobody cares about the 2 hours a day guy. If you’re working that much just p2w at that point.

For example the collection tab. a guy that has limited time to play, he has tested all of those, for example gathered 100-200 mokokos and 1-3 igneas, and all the other things, and he deems, thats nice but id rather focus improving my ilvl to match some exciting content since horizontal do not excite me as much and i dont have time to do the both. He is going to spend his time gathering mats, resources to hone himself up with short time he has.
Now you are saying, why he doesnt collect 1100 mokokos, why he doesnt gather 14 igneas, why he doesnt get 50 sea bountys? – Because he dont want to!!! - Why you dont do something that you dont like? because you dont want to.

Stop assuming people and understand, even though horizontal content is there, the core content of this game is the legion raids. Not your relic gear, not your relic accessories not mokokos not igneas, its the ability to experience the game as the way you want it, and for 90% people its the raids.
and to further add to your question, its not that that a guy who cant pay or who doesnt have time to grind as fast as you to get somewhere is mad that he cant reach valtan same time as others, its that f2p players CURRENTLY do not have even WAYS to get there in a REASONABLE time. Someone who plays 2-4h a day understands he can never get to content as fast as 15h player or whale can, but if you get punished becuase you have a life and cant afford to waste your money by getting delayed MONTHS maybe x2 or x3? bad thing and no game will punish a average human being who has a life and family.
Thats why people are waiting for the new events, and additional materials, thats why people are also waiting for the ark pass, because it provides even more free materials.
its balance, the game goes up with together with people, not because 10 whales got to ilvl and 3k 15h players got to that ilvl too, the majority must also have reasonable time cadence to get in there and then the content can be released because even the slowest will reach anyways in reasonable time

nobody feels angry, its that this time releasing content for 100 people could be used more wisely to release content for the 200k players instead.
everyone has experienced the parts of the game, they choose if they want to proceed further, for example i dont care of the mokoko grind or ignea grind, but you might – so do you! nobody is stopping you.

You’re being ironic also. How cute. The reason should be clear even to people like you from what happened with Argus. Not everyone has 7 T3 alts and very few will be able to play Anything on time if they release it too soon. Just because you (and me dont get too cocky) did it, doesnt mean the general population will do it.
And guess what genius: The general population matters more than you, me and the rest of the 0.5% that play 12 hours per day.

Yeah I mean like you know HM Valtan doesn’t matter, you gotta get the NM set anyway because Valtan is not giving you all the 6 set pieces in HM any time soon, I’m not even sure you can get more than 2 relic set pieces without Biakiss around anyway. So you want 4 piece from NM Valtan anyway and you cannot do both HM and NM the same week.
So you can sure ignore that and keep playing with Argos set, but you shouldn’t. Basically you gotta do at least 3 weeks iirc (maybe more) killing NM Valtan before even consider starting to do it in HM. And I guarantee you that I will not invit you in my HM Valtan raid if you don’t already have 4 piece of its legendary (normal mode) set.
Edit : NM and HM Valtan will be release at the same time. It has been stated already, has been in all other region. Gotta make up with that.
