Then they should have made the events even better if they want more people at 1415, not slow down with releasing stuff
The events were godlike. That’s why we have people crying about a lack of content updates, cause these events fast tracked us to max/high progression.
i can start FOMO right now
hard mode require 1445 and there is where you get actual gear ![]()
I agree that events were good but if not enough people are still at 1415 then they obviously werent enough, shouldve probably just give 10% books for till 1415
They are calculating what it takes to get most people to 1415 range around late May. It’s working pretty well, most active players are hovering around 1340-1360 right now.
You don’t understands the numbers you are showing, drive yourself into false logical implication and make your own show as you like it to be.
The reality is that games are consumed like this, nowadays. What you are showing, it would have happens ANYWAY, no matter how the game is release, when content is release, or if the loudy minority is yelling hard enough.
People complaining and doing criticism and negative feedbacks are ALWAYS a loudy minority of mad people either because they are mad or because they are brainwashed by their favourite content creator who is but silent is the majority, always. It doesn’t mean that they appreciate the game nor keep playing tho.
But it does proove that people like you braggin every days on the forum about how bad the game is and giving “feedbacks” by insulting and demolarizing devs, you guys are a loudy minority, and to be honest I’d even say that you are like a disease that plague the video game industry even. Hopefully good devs know how to read between line by measuring the ratio of people that get brainwashed by this loudy minority, if it remain rather low there is nothing to be concerned of, but when it start being too high they need to do something.
1314-1360 is not getting to 1415 in a month + waiting months just so casual 5 minutes per day andys can catchup is cringe and will kill game
That would be a straight up downward trend. There are parts and pieces of history that accelerate these things. And yes, the reason why games are consumed like this nowadays ARE because of social media culture.
I don’t even know if the content will arrive before releasing a better MMO with more content and if I evolve now, I’ll do valtan on day one and run out of content again. while amazon game is releasing content very slowly, i think Ashes of creation will be released before we have all legion raid or one class less than the KR.
Whales able to do 1445 Valtan right out the gate will get relic accessories and make decent gold from getting there 2-6 weeks before the dolphins and hardcore casuals.
People just reaching 1370 now complaining this will widen the gap between F2P and P2W/P2P (not entirely sure what the competition to create a winning scenario here is tbh)
F2P have a mindset if others have progressed further than they can reach without paying any money, then it’s P2W whale game.
In reality, we’re just trying to catch up to KR/RU server content but now we’ve got from fast track to snail express.
There’s definitely some gold to be made off early relic accessories but what F2P’ers don’t understand is the people at 1445+ ready to take Valtan HM right now or the new chaos dungeons will make a very small return on their investment to actual push their characters into a viable spot to even access the new content.
This change essentially slows down on fast track program to catch up to KR/RU so super casual F2P majority can feel less pressure of being “left behind”
Though I’m seeing a lot less posts compared to Argos release now that most people are realizing it’s really not as bad of a progression track they thought it’d be from 1302-1400-1415 with all the mat injection events.
TL;DR
People complaining; Enjoy the game you play, not the game others play
This reads like you are spitting from your mouth yelling with pure contempt.
Calm down, if someone spent 5 minutes a day playing, they’d be Carbot Animations
and they haven’t gotten their ship yet.
yes 5 minutes per day andys was serious and you are smart
What you fail to understand (it’s fine) is that those who were meant to leave will leave anyway. Even if they are a brainwashed, or not brainwashed or whoever they are, they are meant to leave at some point anyway. And I’d say that the sooner they leave, et the least possible chance there is that they would have remain if you have done thing differently, as a dev.
So, taking “good” short-term decision that may please these players is a very bad move if it has some long-term backslash. And especially delaying content is always a bad long-term decision.
What they should do, is always add new content. Every month a new activities, a new class anything that give you new things to do, no matter your ilvl range. That’s what’s they need to do. But delaying gated content like Legion Raid without adding anything to compensate, it’s a bad move.
Tbh it won’t change my enjoyement of the game, I’ll keep playing for a while anyway, but it’s just my 2cent.
It depends…if the streamers keep playing Lost Ark, they will stay. It’s funny and sad at the same time.
Maybe…but this entire world is short term minded. Everything is instant in the social media age, that’s just how the world works now.
You might be saying this because you looked at your own item level before making that decision. It’s possible that the events helped a lot of the active playerbase catch up (I wouldn’t be 1385 without the events TBH).
I’m sure they just wanted to slow things down per player request before adding content via player request. It’s a smart way to do things, because honestly this means we get to blame the players for all of this.
Whales doing 1445 will still be competing in the market with people doing 1415 Valtan.
Both difficulties pay out relic accessories.
I mean I’m ok with delaying Valtan to May and things, but I just disagree with the part where they should listen to player negative feedbacks blindly, because it doesn’t give the full picture of what players needs. The decision isn’t that easy I’m not denying it, for a developper. I’m also pointing the fact that adding content is ALWAYS a good decision, no matter is the amount of player that can experience it day one. Obviously the more people can access the new content the best it is. So maybe the good decision is to add content that CAN be accessed by the majority of the player. Some content is always better than no content.
Unfortunately, there isn’t an infinite supply of such content. Sure there are Abyss trials, guardian Hardmode. Maybe GvG more island, but we still bottlenecked by the time it takes to develop such content. At some point the pace at which “social media” consume the content is just too fast for even the best talented developper to fuel enough content.
I disagree with it too. Wildstar was overly receptive and reactive and it killed their game.
Amazon already ruined their game by being overly receptive to balance feedback and then giving everyone a free transfer token…good grief that was such a disaster and killed so many healthy servers…
That’s probably why they just gave honing mats (short term solution) instead of nerfing the rates (the thing people asked for).
Is it? You see this thread complaining about a lack of content? What do you think will happen when Valtan comes out? People will kill it in hard mode on day one and be back here crying and bawling their eyes out on why Vykas isn’t here.
And btw it’s also lead the next logical conclusion that “social media” hype is inevitably swaping between games only to get more content. That project has taken 3 years to develop and you jump on it and surf on it for 3 months then jump and the next AAA game that has also taken 3 years to develop but started 3 months later, etc…
Yeah I mean assuming that the content is satsfying enough or let’s say that the developpers are happy with it and believe it is finished and release-ready content.
What’s cool with Lost Ark however is that Korean love it and they are not like us whining everytime paid content is added, they do pay so with Lost Ark you have sort of a guarantee that new content will be added at a satisfying pace, especially since (let’s be honest) Korean developers are usualy much more efficient than westerns.
No, you just have the mindset of skipping progression processes within game. Valtan has a crafted legendary set of gear before relic set. So your comment makes no sense.
Just because you reach the ilvl also doesnt mean youll be capable of clearing the content. Many people wont even be able to clear Valtan normal week 1 probably.
Not only that I may be close to 1445 (1430 and will provably reach 1445 by mid may) but it doesnt mean Ill have a group of people ready to do the content with entirely. Im not really the normal average player and my successes in honing have been cracked lately. (2 tapped + 16 yesterday, one tapped +17 this morning)
