Please fix your Customer support system ! (Please read this)

You know that chat can be…let’s say a little childish sometimes. People spamming weird stuff. I don’t have a problem with that since I just ban the player and carry on.

A few days ago I copy-pasted guild invite to bring the local community together along with fuck amazon for long waiting times and poorly announced server maintenance. That is how I feel so ill say it. I deserve a pre-ban. I don’t have a problem with that.

Since you can appeal the ban/pre-ban I asked to directly pinpoint what exactly did I write wrong so it does not happen again. This is the response :

Hello,

We reviewed the information you provided on appeal and have confirmed that the original disciplinary action was merited in your case. We take instances seriously as it is harmful to the community and violates the following section of our Code of Conduct (https://www.amazon.com/help/ags/coc):

Treat others the way they wanted to be treated.

Do: be kind, build fellowship with other players, and be your best, unique self.

Do not: engage in behavior that diminish, threaten, bully, insult, abuse, or harass others. This includes any behavior that:

*** promotes or encourages hateful ideologies;**

*** promotes or encourages discrimination, denigration, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, serious medical condition, or veteran status; or**

*** otherwise can make other players or Amazon Games employees feel unsafe, abused, taken advantage of, or disrespected.**

Do not assume a chat filter in place is a license to say anything you want.

We can’t share any further information about our decision, and we won’t reply to further emails about this issue.

Best regards,
Thomas A.

What he is saying :

Hello,

We have no clue why we pre-banned you, but here is a list of 100 things you should not do.

So freedom of speech is nonexistent. But bots can spam 24/7 ‘’ 1000g = 4$ ‘’

I KNOW that I never attacked, bullied, etc. anyone. All I said is fuck amazon and tried to bring the community together.

Tried the appeal twice, the same answer.

Then I went to amazon live chat where the Agent told me ‘’ I don’t know what I can say. ‘’
After i asked what did i wrote that broke the code.

SO!

  1. You get a court call.
  2. You get sentenced to jail time.
  3. You ask what did you do wrong?
  4. They tell you that you broke a law.
  5. When you ask what law, they give you a list of all the laws.
  6. You are playing a game in fear since you know if 10 people report you you are going to get jailed for life.

Excuse me, but what the fuck?

Prisoner 1: so… why are you in jail?

Prisoner 2: I copy-pasted a guild invite message in the normal chat in Lost ark, I got 30 years of prison time.

And yeah I know I’ve been a toxic little shit. I understand.

The problem is a lack of details and communication.
They tell you don’t do it but not exactly what.

I got the same Issue, I just wanted to know what I have done and their support just ignored me with a bunch of generic anwsers lol

They have the same copy-paste for everything…But you know what you gonna do ? Oh you don’t ? Well just don’t do it.

The customer support is a fucking joke…They escalate the ticket every time and never got the answer. One I ten agents cares…so just keep trying i guess. I got my blue crystals disappeared today from 520 to 0…The shop does not work, match making does not work…nothing fucking works. I’m lvl 20 on chopping fucking wood since I have nothing else to do.

Lmfao this is exactly the same as what I got.
Bump this please, their due process is non existent.

That’s not the same, they actually showed the names lol

But I don’t think the names are relevant to the section they mention, it’s not any of what they said…

They should’ve quoted this

Do not : post or share content that encourages, solicits, or supports behavior that is illegal, obscene, lewd, promotional, or is otherwise disruptive or harmful. This includes content that promotes terrorist or extremist propaganda, spreads misinformation, defrauds, scams or harms others, is sexually explicit, or contains commercial solicitations or advertising. Child exploitation will be reported to law enforcement via the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Oh and OP, it’s probably about something else. I said it in another thread so I’ll say it here as well.

Usually that would mean someone reported you for something specific that happened and telling you what it is would identify them.

So you probably didn’t get banned for that copy pasta.

I dont know where you got that but thats not in their naming Policy or their code of conduct.

I mean I don’t care personally, just explaining.

I find it weird that the customer service person didn’t quote that and quoted harrassment.

Just a simple answer to my question would have been fine. Since it was my appeal instead of just copy pasting their “law” basically telling you “its in here”.

That’s the thing, they didn’t even put the correct law in their copy paste, which is strange.

none of this applies to your case, but what I shared you does.

It’s like they dont even look at the case, thats their pre loaded response to everything. And you cant ban someone for a certain thing and then sentence them on a whole different thing. Its the naming policy conduct that. I was ban for.

Maybe they thought the ketchup one falls under violence based on sex? lol idk…

Oh and

In addition to following our Code of Conduct, player-made names may not:

  • Cause or intend to cause disruptive behavior, such as names that could be offensive or inappropriate to others

So yeah what I linked does apply sadly for you.

(Wasn’t hard to find this either so I have no idea why they shared you the wrong section?)

(oh and don’t try to bypass it,

[…} player-made names may not:

  • Use misspellings, alternate spellings, or combinations of words, symbols, and letters to produce a result that would otherwise violate this policy.

)

No. They post the bottom (actually everything past the first paragraph) part of the message to everyone regardless of what they did. It is like a footer with a reminder of how to act.
The actual response to his msg was the first paragraph in which they are stating that he violated the ToS.
