Yes. But they also have work arounds that allow you to consistently get past them.
The raid being possible for F2P versus whales has nothing to do with mechanics being nerfed. If anything, these mechanics are what puts F2P on the same level as a whale no matter their gear level.
count to 3 after cutscene and counter or listen for two grunts and counter. For the triple counter stage you can either not counter 1 + 2 and everyone counter 3rd or do a counter rotation and as soon as one person counters they run away to stop others from getting the silence aura. And the remaining players can all go for the third. Valtan doesn’t need nerfed.
I think further to this, Asmongold and Richcampbell made it pretty clear that these Legion Raids are the great equalizer.
He spent like 2 days trying to clear Valtan because guess what, instead of doing mechs, he just tried to face roll everything and got punished for it.
Rich was floor PoV literally after armor break phase on like 98% of the runs. The same is the case for a boat load of streamers who were like “hehehe LOA is a P2W game you can just swipe to win”. Maybe that was the case for face rolling guardians, but it is clearly not the case with Legion Raids and I love it.
Don’t touch legion raids, but I would still say that T1/T2 guardians are still over tuned compared to T3 guardians. If you guys don’t care about new player experience then at least add honing buffs for T1/T2.
I would further recommend returning the mechanics to the lower bosses. This way the trial guardians don’t surprise people.
Additionally, add the mokoko buff. This is the reason why T1/T2 content felt overtuned. You see, they moved all the endgame stuff out of T2 like tripods and relic gear to T3, to make up for this massive nerf to player power in T2 they added a buff to damage and damage reduction to balance this off in 2020. It was fun doing things in hard mode, but T1/T2 is not endgame anymore and doesn’t need this artificial difficulty imho.
Right now, NA/EU still doesn’t have this mokoko buff. This means that we’ve not only been playing hardmode and have to do 30% more damage in garbage T1/T2 gear, we also take 66% more damage from everything…this includes guardians, chaos dungeons, cube, boss rush, tower and abyss (40% damage reduction gives this 66% damage increase essentially…equal to about three Heavy Armor 2s stacked on each other)
i beat valtan in 2 days, 8 hours total of time trying. It’s not that hard when you knew the mechanic well. And if you really want to play lost ark you will eventually need to beat valtan every week in years. Just learn the mechanics from guides in youtube, there’re a lot of them
Sorry but you’re wrong. This fight is one of the most fair fights I’ve ever went against. If you die, its your fault. There isnt some wierd rng or anything. Everything is avoidable. The way you describe things sounds more like you dont understand how some of the mechanics work and how to handle said mechanics. This fight doesnt need to be nerfed at all as it is very well tuned. I applaud smilegate on making such a good fight that is balanced well
Not the most fair. I’ve had some bs deaths, such as getting hit upon countering a ghost clone but with something that has a ton of mechanics and different attack types it is surprisingly fair.
