I wanted to try the game prior to commenting, I am seeing 230 - 250ms which is not unplayable for questing but its not pleasant either, and I doubt I will be able to raid without warming the ground more than my fair share.
I know from experience that when the US gets those sort of figures in inline games you see comments like unplayable and slow and OMG fix your servers etc, so yes another plus 1 for OCE server, the company should value everyone’s experience if they provide the game in that region, Australian game players are not a small market, and they cant take their other game that a lot stayed away from as experience in this market, which no doubt they are doing IMO.
All mods and devs are useless anyway. This decision for OCE server needs to come from someone higher up. Mods are busy playing themselves instead of pushing this info through for it to happen quicker. Overall, shit team.
Btw is anyone actually getting decent ping from Sydney region even with vpn? I’ll be using one anyway
I won’t be purchasing the game until there’s server support for AU or at the very least APAC more generally.
For those of you that have purchased the game and are now suffering severe latency issues, but have passed the 2hr steam refund limit - I’d still try for the refund, the game probably is at odds with Australian Consumer Guarantees, imo.
+1 Please consider an OCE server. I love the game immensely and would love it so much if we could have our own server and play this wonderful game at the more intended levels of latency.
Fyi, free to play people. Guardian Raids and Abyss Dungeons area fairly unplayable, especially Necromancer’s. Probably best to not even have a taste of it till OCE servers COPIUM.
I support the need for an Oceania server. Already pay for Amazon prime, but if you need to charge my ass another 5-10$ per month for some god damn Oceania servers I’d be happy to pay.
Ive already given up playing even tho I bought the platinum pack. It’s unbearable the delay and feels like a whole 1 second before my hits actually register. This is just not fun in general.
Please support our region with a server. The reason why we can’t grow a bigger mmo region is because all hosts and publishers just simply overlook us without been given a chance to grow. Fps games are huge in our region simply because we have servers.
As much as I want OCE servers myself being from NZ. I play with 4 friends from Sydney and 1 who even lives in Perth, they do get 200+ ms but we do everything perfectly fine together, they dash out of abilities when they’re meant to, there’s no rubberbanding, we do PvP.
We’ve done Guardian Raids and Abyss dungeons without ping issues so I think saying it’s unplayable is definitely a bit of false information outside of just being upset there’s no OCE servers (which I am also upset about because 30 ping is obviously better than 200).
So I can slightly understand no server on the oceanic datacenter even if its temporary.
What i can’t understand is an NA-West server not specifically tagged for oceanic players, creating a new server after launch on NA-West because you had no room and then locking the community chosen oceanic server.
I was willing to give Amazon the benefit of the doubt after the shitshow that was New World, but this is fucking embarrasing.
